"Randy Wolf has not looked all that great today." Except for at the plate, I guess http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
-
Wow. A close game going into the bottom of the 5th. I hope the Crew remembers how to play in these kinds of contests.
-
Those pitches from Wolf cannot be missing by much. Looked like two of the inside pitches were strikes.
-
Crap. Not a good pitch from Wolf there.
-
Counsell with an RBI double! Very nicely done. I was going to complain about strike one being a foot outside, but the double is much better than the walk would have been.
-
SCARY!!!!!! We'll take it! On to Washington.
-
Wow. It would be funny if it wasn't so frustrating.
-
Gomez's speed pays off! Good work, Brewers. And now Fielder gets hit again. Let's go, Casey! At least make it more difficult to give away.
-
Villy to the bullpen's rescue! Now let's get Hoffman back on track!
-
Well, who doesn't love short offensive innings and long defensive ones? Seriously, someone in the bullpen has to be due for a clean inning, right? I think I reverse jinxed it! Way to go, Ricky!
-
I'd rather not pinch hit one of our bench guys (none of whom are confidence-inspiring, unless maybe we wanted to use Hart this early) and make the bullpen (which hasn't been good either lately) 5 innings. Not saying you can't disagree with the move to leave Soup in, just that it isn't exactly illogical.
-
I don't trust Suppan on the mound, but I'm not sure anyone else sounds good either. And it's only the fifth. Why burn someone already?
-
Let's get the game tomorrow and then get healthy against the Nats.
-
Yes, this game was crappy. Yes, the bullpen was bad. Yes, Macha made a bad decision leaving Hawkins in. But let's not forget it's April 14th. After 11 games last year, the Crew was 3-8, and they rebounded to 25-14. Step away from the ledge, folks. Early season baseball is always an adventure. If it looks this bad in a month, then I'll join in protestations.
-
And the first good starting pitching performance of the year is wasted. Bummer.
-
Well, meat of the order. Let's go boys!
-
Can't say he doesn't deserve it. My Dad, a (tolerable, die hard) Cubs fan refuses to say his name. Just calls him "our left fielder." As long as he helps out the Crew, it's okay by me.
-
Bush turns in the first really good start of the year for the Brewers' rotation. Way to go, Dave. And in an efficient 77 pitches too. Let's get a few and get the guy a W.
-
McGehee is quickly becoming one of my favorite Brewers. And I want to second what AKA Pete said about his defense. It's been pretty good so far. Yay Casey!
-
To be fair, this is a much better start to the season than last year!
-
And we thought the pitching couldn't get worse than last year. I'm glad there's no game tomorrow. Okay. I'm taking deep breaths. There are still 5 innings left.
-
Well they got one anyway. Although I agree on McGehee. He needs to score on that single. It was a ground ball!
-
Time for Princey to wake up. Meat of the order up in the fourth. Let's cut into this thing. Two disaster pitches from Davis. Not confidence inspiring.
-
Another year, another reminder that it sucks to be in the same division as Xavier Nady.
-
Yes! My screen name is good for awhile longer! This seems like another one of those good-for-both-parties contracts, which is awesome to see. The Brewers now have long-term lockdowns on an electric offensive player and a key member of the starting rotation. Even if they don't resign Fielder, Braun and Yo are reasonably-priced, all-star talent to build around. Great news.
