  1. Even our fans fail. That guy couldn't even make a proper baghead. You don't show your face. You cut eyeholes. And maybe a mouthhole.
  2. Mark Krynzel along with Dave Krenzel. And Kynzel. I wouldn't read too much into what Gammons says unless it is verified by other reporters. Too many times he says things that never come to pass.
  3. If I'm not mistaken, Alex Sanchez gritty is actually negative grit. It detracts from the grit around it. I could be wrong, though.
  4. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif Nice one!!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  5. Especially considering their rather lengthy injury histories. His claim that it isn't about money is laughable. If it isn't about money then what else could it possibly be?
  6. The Hurricane and Gallardo are free!!!!
  7. Teeter, Teeter, huh...huh...huh.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  8. An 18th rounder got $1.425mill? Wow. The Angels are really shelling out the cash. I think there is no way they don't sign Weaver. Art Moreno is shelling out cash on all areas of his club. Nice to see.
  9. I see that Stephen Drew, a Boras client, is still unsigned. Arizona newspapers are speculating that Jeff Moorad may personally handle the negotiations with Boras. Could be very interesting if he does... Moorad vs. Boras
  10. That Scott Moviel is 6'9" 247lbs and he will be a sophmore in high school this upcoming school year!!! He's huge!! The NBA scouts have to be drooling over him as well. He might end up being close to 7' 300lbs. Reminds me alot of Paul Wight. He was a pitcher in high school too.
  11. Durrington and Wes!!! Play one or the other not both at the same time!!! Let me guess, tomorrow's lineup will feature Bennett as well.
  12. I forgot about the scouts and checkers. Hamilton had a very bright future before his addiction. Too bad.
  13. The D-Ray kid is Josh Hamilton. Maybe MLB needs to do more homework on potential first round draft picks.
  14. You have Fryman as you're picture. That's enough for anybody.
  15. My knee went out on me and the first thing I did was post. I could barely get into or out of my car but I posted. I could barely walk. When I did walk I had a massive limp, like Lon Chaney and Frankenstien's monster. It hurt bad but i shut out the pain and posted. I posted to the best of my ability. I am Finish so my roots helped too. Us Fins are just about the grittiest people around.
  16. Edgar, do you want to help too? You are a smart guy, we could use you if we can get this going. If we can get 5 or more of us, this won't too big a task. And with 5 of us putting our brains together we will be far less likely to make mistakes. And we should be able to make better conclusions. Adding the latin players would be tough but we might be able to do it. An interesting question regarding latin players is: What are the rates of graduating these kids to the majors compared to the drafted high schoolers? How much money should be spent on latin american players when we look at their "graduation rates." Is the cost worth it? Interesting questions. I'm not sure if it has been looked at before or not.
  17. It's also alot more fun doing it this way. Next year we will probably again be saying "is this the end for the Braves" at the start of the season and saying "I guess the Braves will hang on for one more season" by the middle of the season. I guess you just don't bet against Cox and Shuerholz(sp?). It's neat to see that while their teams of the 90's were built around pitching the last two years their teams have been built around offense.
  18. Grit. Just show our manager enough grit and you will earn it. I earned it in under a month. I am really gritty. I am almost Dave Burba, or Brady Clark gritty.
  19. Moreno's deep pockets didn't hurt either.
  20. I just might be up for that, my friend. But I will have to see how my work schedule is next week. Thursday through Sunday this week I am working 50 plus hours in four days. Sucks. Thus I can't do much if anything those days. I think I might be able to get some done on Monday or Tuesday. I hope. I will know more tomorrow night. Let you know then. "assemble a decently impressive study complete with informed and reasonable conclusions" We should easily do better than the drivel put out by some of the so called "experts" on some other sites. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif How far back do you think we should go? The information should be available on the net. I don't have a subscription to BA so I can't do much on that site. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  21. Scary stuff.
  22. I wasn't just talking about throwing his baseball career down the gutter. He could end up a bum on the street. Or in jail. Or dead. I took Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse for my major in college. While it is possible to get off heroin, it is very difficult. And the cravings never leave. Methodone can help with the physical effects when getting off heroin but the mental cravings won't just go away.
