Junggmann AND Cron...going the wrong direction there, we need youth and high ceilings. Jungmann is good but not sure if he really is the guy I want. The only words that would come to mind if this was our 12 & 15 are wasted draft and missed opportunity.

Hopefully he can find the bat again soon, its been a tough last week or two for him offensively

Wilson kind of that great bench guy to have around. He can play all 4 corners for a team and has pretty good power. I believe the Brewers liked him quit a bit coming out of ST 2010 but he fell off with horrendous season. I don't see him as an everyday starter but could be a productive 5th OF/ Back-up 1st & 3rd utility guy. Prob hit. 250-.260, some doubles and HRs, and drive in some runs Great day for the system! Nice to see AA & A+ starting to win and Thornburg continuing to try everything to get Nichols to notice him so he can actually be challenged. Anyone has a legit reason for Thornburg to still be in WI?

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good site to get advanced minor league stats such as wOBA wRAA, ISO, FIP and etc. I know you can find them all on Fangraph but I can't find a way to look and sort through just a team or whole system like you can on baseball reference. You have to either look up a player or sort through the leagues leaders. Is there a way to look at just a minor league team on fangraph? Any other sites to use? The easiest thing I have found to do is just sort by team in the leagues but then you can't sort through is is doing the best. Let me know and an early thanks!

Tough month, I think if they can finish over .500 this month they will be in ver good shape...Red Soxs, Rays, Yankees, and Cards are all very good teams. Marlins are pretty good then the rival games in Twins and Cubs. Low end 12-15, high 16-11, be very happy with a 14-13 month. Anything lower than 12-15 will be big trouble dropping us 5+ games

Doesn't throw to hard but has overall good stuff. Is projected to go 3-6 rd Dustin Houle: Another Catcher-3B prospect from the Langely Blazers. Is suppose to have a pretty solid bat and is rated number 2 for HS pitchers. Cory Scammell 6'5 200 OF. "Pro body now with projection ... Arm is below average now but will be a plus in pros ... Has loft in swing and power to all fields but is raw ... May go faster and further than anyone in draft" Seems to have a ton of upside. Vaughn Coverington: 6'4 210 RHP. Pitches 90-92 but had TJ Surgery in 2010. If not for the injury may be considered the top prep Canadian pitcher in the draft. Jalen Harris- 6'2 210 3B Prospect. Outstanding defensive 3B with good hands, feet and arm. He lacks fundamental approach at plate but has good hand quickness, natural loft and bat speed. Once he masters weight transfer look out Effortless arm, Runs a 6.8. Is an okay pitcher (some may look at him there) The weight transfer and watch out part reminds me of Jose Batistau. Trevor Gretsky-Dual citizen but lives and plays in California, and is a 6'4 205 1B prospect who happens to be the son of the "Great One," is a guy I think could be a good snag. Commited to SDST so tough sign 356th on PG top 500 HS list, 42nd on California's top 116 HS list.

Just a note if there is anyone who does not know this, TheCrew07 noted on it but Doug Melvin has almost nothing to do with the draft. He sits in the room and stuff but it is 100% Seid's show and his decisions. Melvin doesn't scout, breakdown hours of tape or anything like that. He strictly focuses on the major league club. I believe Gordy Ash actually oversees the minors (well Nichols is in charge but reports to Ash who reports to DM). So I didn't read were someone mentioned DM but I read and hear it all the time and it drives me nuts. The geniouses on JSOnline are the worse, I just love how they all blame DM for picks gone bad... ugh jsonline comment box...

I love RR so far, he has the team excited and having fun and they are much more fun to watch. Sure I get mad a lot because of the bad base running but at least we are aggressive, stealing, playing small ball, moving guys over and etc. something we have not been able to see for awhile because Macha hated aggressive baseball, stealing, moving guys over, and small ball.

Not a fan of taking Cron (cousin of the famous Chad Moeller!) in the 1st round. Good college bat but like mentioned can't stick at C, can't play OF, and many are not sure how well he can play first. His ceiling is not very high either, would seem to be a complete waste of a pick in an outstanding draft class. I have to agree with Nate that while I do like Covey and wish he would have been in our system, in this draft he'd profile as a 15-25 pick because of the depth. I think Covey would be considered along the lines of Dillion Howard this season (similar bodies and stuff). We have a great opportunity here, not as amazing as the D-Backs but many teams and scouts would roll over dead to be in our position. 2 top 15 in this draft?! That is nice. They have know since August about the 2 picks and they dont have all these extra picks so they should have a budget where they can be aggressive. Which means I think they could afford to pick Bradley and Swihart and not be to worried about looking them up. (Also have to remember Covey's money couldnt be used because it was to late to use it when they found out.) Not saying they should draft those two but they could. I am really hoping Bichette Jr. is there in the 2nd....we know how the Brewers like their early bloodline picks and I remember watching a ton of stuff on him from showcases with Bryce Harper as freshman and sophmores and have been a big fan since. I think in most drafts he'd be a late 1st-sandwich pick guy so lets hope he can drop.

Well was off with the roster but many key players were left out in the first game: 1B H. Arias LF J. Garcia OF Ronny Puello CF Ruben Sanchez SS Andres Martinez All these guys have been their top players for past two season (Sanchez just last year) so I wonder if that confirms that all them have been promoted to Arizona. Also I hope Elvis Rubio is not injuried, Brewers spent $95,000 on him (considered a "bargain" price" and is suppose to be quit the prospect. A lot like J. Pena with I guess maybe more pop in bat.

Yeah agreed, you can not draft for need in baseball. All is equal between two prospects (say Lindor and Starling fell to 12) maybe you go with were you have the whole but never just to to fill the spot. Look at last year we loaded up on college arms because our starting pitching was so terrible now we have a great rotation and all those guys we drafted to quickly move up and fill those holes are still at least 3 years away. You take the most talented, high ceiling prospect available regardless to what you have in the major leagues. Prospects and vis versa vets can always be moved postion or trade wise. You develop a big board and take the top guy left, C,1B,2B,SS,3B,LF,SP,CP or whatever position it is. Now, I heard many times Baez cannot stick at SS but it is usually mentioned it is due to his frame not that he has a bad glove. That is however just from the reports I have read...is that the case? Also I have read through every Guierrieri scouting report and link I can find to see why so many of you see him as this horrible trainwreck of a kid. Nowhere have I read about this horrendous character. The worse thing I find is that "if he had been more consistent before this season he'd be ahead of Bundy" that is something you will find all over. Sits 94-95 tops 98 with a "freakish" curveball. The consistancy thing worries me a bit but he is said to have clean mechanics and generates most of his power through his legs making it look effortless (not from over doing is arm speed or jerking his arm to much. He has a lot of work to do on his change for the fact that he never has had to use it, he just blows everyone way fastball or buckles them curveball. So maybe I just haven't found the same reports as you guys have (post them, id like to read them) so maybe he does maybe he doesn't but that is a lot of talent to pass on. This draft is critical for the Brewers so I hope whatever way they go, it works out. If we could land another Lawrie-Odorizzi type combo again in the early rounds, that will be huge.

Looking at the roster and who I think made it to the states I could see the roster looking like this: This is based off thinking Sanchez and Pullo were promoted and Garcia and Arias stayed in the States after ST. 1B Julio Sotelo (20 yrs, catcher but with no other 1B on roster he was the best hitting back-up catcher last season so slide him over) 2B Yorki Hernandez (gets on base a ton with .380 OBP while only hitting .207-impressive for DSL player. Needs to start hitting though) SS Andres Martinez (A fav of mine and is improving but 70k to 217 PA is to many, hit .245 so needs to cut down ks and hit more) 3B Jorge De La Cruz (another 2nd yr 18 yr old. Didn't get time until Cequea got in trouble. .250/.443/.761 in 61 PA only 1 XBH) C Carlos Pena (Exciting catcher, 18 & 2nd season, .236/.346/.710 LF Elvis Rubio (Big signing with some big pop, projects as a MLB 3-5 hitter Brewers have said) CF Raul Mondesi Jr. (Played well for 17 yr old, not his father yet but should continue to grow in year 2, played all 3 spots last season) RF Jose Pena (Can't wait to see how much he can grow this year. 33bb's a great sign showed decent pop for 17 yr old DH Joan Abreu 20 yrs, did okay off bench last season, nothing to special can play 2B &3B) Bench SS Raphachel Colatosti will turn 18, Have yet to find anything on him. SS Alejandro Mendoza 19 yrs, played okay in his back up role to Martinez. C Natanael Mejia will turn 19 yrs have yet to find much on him. C Deivi Mejia 21 yrs ( barriered, hardly played last season.) Love Lindor pick but I honestly will be soooo pissed if we went college pitcher at 15 if the name is not Hultzen, Bauer, Cole, Bradley or maaaybe Barnes which should all be gone. Such a loaded draft with young, talented, power arm high school pitchers sitting there for a team absolutely desperate for some young high ceiling guys to reenergize and rebuild the system. This whole idea of college pitchers move faster and are more safe is 100% complete [crap]. Only difference between the two is college guys are a little more polished and are closer to ceiling while high school guys are much more raw with harder to project and higher ceilings (a lot can change from 17-21). That is why there are so many guys like Barnes who were no ones in HS but become 1st round picks or like Parra in one yr going from 26rd to possible 1st rd (prior to d&f signing) Plus I like the thought of a Pierce, Perez, Guierrieri pitching wave for the next 3-6 years. I expect him to hit right around .200 to. 220 and figure 3-4 HRs. Don't expect to many walks, swing gets a tad bit long. Id be happy with a. 550 OPS. Oh we are talking bout his pitching, my bad. I expect him to be the pitcher we thought we were getting. Time table wise he is still really in Mid to late April. Against what JohnBriggs believes, plenty of elite pitchers often struggle early but build as season goes on. I think Sabathia and Beckett are to prime example. I think Greinke will only get strong and more sharp. Right now he is struggling off- speed allowing teams to sit fb. Once he gets that stuff working, we'll be dangerous. Right now his stats really don't line up with his ERA and that is a good sign. Really needsto end those 1 inning old Dave Bush meltdowns

Yeah but Gamel has been there since 23....A mix of Macha, McGehee, and terribly timed ST injuries is the only reason he hasn't been in majors last 3 years. If the way Khris Davis was treated last year will be a continued way of business by Nichols, don't expect Walker to move up.

Man Komatsu is looking REALLY good right now. I find it very hard to see Shafer skip over him right now. He has it all going for him right now. Hitting .350, on Base .440, OPS of .925, 20 BB to 13 K's.

I was just curious as to when we will start sending in our top 30 prospect sheets for this season. I think this year will be a really fun one because there is not to many guys that stand above the crowd. Every list should be a lot different. Like it has been mentioned many times you can't be scared at 15 and draft for signability. Remember Brewers are not loaded with extra picks like in 08 & 09 so that opens up some, money, Covey's money from last year is still out there im guessing (it was to late to spend elsewhere) and Brewers do an excellent job signing their top picks (had Covey locked up til the physical). They have know since August they were going to have 2 top 15 picks and I am guessing have budgeted for it. There are evey few guys that Id 100% say no to at 15 and that is Bradley (to much leverage with Football) and Purke. The rest I think are not major risks. Why pass up on a high ceiling guy like a Guerrieri, Swihart, Fisher, Baez, Norris and etc. to be safe. Take BPA, and hopefully a young one at that. LETS GO SEID!!! Time to re-engergize this farm system!!! Go youth!!!! Joel Pierce and Osmel Perez needs some friends to help develop the next great Brewer wave!

Glad to see Statia start to hit, something he failed to do many times at the AA with the Angels. I think it is important for everyone to remember the guy has a bunch of upside and was once highly regarded by the Angels. Hopefully he can continue to hit and at least be a Luis Cruz for the Brewers.
