  1. 4th it is. Obviously win and in, but any scenario we can sneak in if we lose? I'm thinking no.
  2. Is the playoff committee bound to take teams ranked 1-4?
  3. After looking at the ages of our 40 man roster, one of the cons of having a young group of people is that only one player is older than I am. Currently I am between Braun and Vogt. It is going to be a sad day when I'm older than everybody.
  4. 9th in the playoff ranking? Wow. I expected a drop but didn't think Penn State and TCU passing us.
  5. Hundley looks better than when he started, but we probably can't keep relying on the defense getting turnovers.
  6. I think that's the whole point of the question. You don't know if wc games are one and done. I would take the division title. Probably a better team, better chance at winning it all. Pittsburgh and Minnesota probably agrees with you.
  7. To me, it depends on how we do in the WC games. Both 1 and dones? Probably will take the NLDS trip. If I'm gauging what's better, I'd go with the playoff stints. Taking it further, I'd probably say 1 world series trip is better than 3 losing WC games in a row. I guess that puts me in the Marlins model.
  8. Something that I think was implied but never said. The victory last night guarantees us finishing ahead of STL. Take that dirty birds!
  9. In real time, that hit on Adams gave me the chills.
  10. A win tonight guarantees meaningful baseball on Friday at the least.
  11. How much of a statement would it be if we turned it around here?
  12. It's because the real crimes are untucking ones shirt, having lights on in the stadium, and hitting home runs against their pitchers.
  13. For what it's worth, Perez is 5 for 11 with 3 homers against Taillon
  14. In the scenario the Brewers take the division, and we take 3 of 4 from the cubs and 2 of 3 from the cards, the following plays out like this: Brewers go 5 and 4 against FLA Cinci and Pitt. Cubs go 6 and 7 Cards 8 and 5. That's very possible
  15. Imagine the chaos if the Brewers Cubs and Cards all tied for the division and WC. That being said, how exciting is September baseball?
  16. Looking at Braults game logs. It appears his only other start was his last appearance. Pitched 5 innings and gave up 3 runs. If we can get into the bullpen early today, that'll help big time tomorrow and Wednesday.
  17. This will actually be my first game going to Miller Park this season. I'm actually excited to see Woodruff pitch.
  18. Any word if our call ups will be available tonight?
  19. It would be far more fun to watch the cubs further gut their farm system and not make the playoffs as we take the division. But beating out the Rockies would be a nice consolation. And my point in mentioning Arizona is that yes they've separated themselves a bit, but them facing the Rockies means a Brewers win would gain ground on 1 of the 2. If Colorado get's hot, it's not like the wildcard becomes impossible because they'd likely be beating up on Arizona and putting them in a position for us to catch them. For irony's sake, the best outcome to me is the Brewers winning the division and the Cubs edging out the Rockies for the 2nd WC and then promptly losing to Arizona.
  20. We are down to the home stretch! Will we catch on fire, go up in flames, or somewhere in between. Let's go Brew Crew! 3 Wash (2-1) 3 @ Cinci (1-2) 3 @ Chubs (2-1) 3 Pitt (2-1) 3 @ Miami (0-3) 3 @Pitt (3-0) 4 Chubs (3-1) 3 Cinci (1-2) 3 @ StL (2-1) I feel like we play to our competition, but overall do well in our division which is so critical. I'm at 16 and 12. What about you?
  21. The Brew Crew are at 13 and 11 with 3 games to go. Just 1 win to guarantee a winning month. Not bad considering what a putrid week the 2nd week was.
  22. No matter the outcome this season, you have to love where this team is going! What a series win against the Dodgers!
  23. I think this says that the Brewers can hang with the big boys if we get the opportunity in the playoffs. A series win against the Dodgers while only going 1fer with RISP is incredible.
