  1. So I saw the rain delay, and my sleep deprived brain came up with this gem. "Wain, Wain, go away. Don't come back another day"
  2. Well I last updated on the housing situation in the What's Bugging You thread because of the appraisal being extremely low and the sellers refusing to move off the accepted offer. Good news is that the sellers have verbally committed to the appraised price. Now to wait until they sign the dotted line to make it official.
  3. I know the conditions/pay/etc are meager for minor leaguers but I can't help but wonder what if any help there is for mental health.
  4. What a shot by Carter! A guy could get used to a first run lead.
  5. Who had Keon and Kirk in the Homer against Scherzer pool?
  6. Brewers lead the MLB in steals. In second place, the Houston Astros. Coincidence or no during the rebuilding process?
  7. The sellers know they're never going to sell their house, right? They should know that.
  8. I've been posting in the What's NOT bugging you thread about my house buying experience but this belongs here. The process was going smoothly, Inspection was great, the sellers even fixed some small things we asked about and then when it came time for the appraisal, it came back a CONSIDERABLE amount lower than the asking price. When we tried negotiating with the sellers, they said they couldn't afford to sell the house at the appraised price. In the immortal words of Tom Hanks in Catch me if you can, "Knock Knock..."
  9. Walgreens parking lots are the worst in my opinion. I have been a passenger in 3 separate accidents all in separate parking lots. I get that their thing is to be in a corner lot, but I can't understand the reasoning of some of their lots.
  10. That's a somewhat bold move to walk the bases loaded there.
  11. I'm curious about why drivers who go 10+ MPH over the speed limit, get irate that I cut them off in a somewhat congested area in town. I feel horrible when I accidentally cut somebody off if it was an honest mistake. I have no remorse when it's somebody flying down the road. I don't want to double post. Even though I've been married for over 3 years now, it's weird to me being addressed as Mr. and Mrs Stalton. To me those names are reserved for my parents.
  12. And also if Stearns thought Villar would bring more to Milwaukee than Sneed would (by whatever metric), then it's a win for us despite having Villar under control than Sneed
  13. This conversation reminds me of when Kotsay started in CF in the playoffs (bad decision aside)
  14. It's been hectic but the smoke is starting to clear. Just have the appraisal and then the closing and my wife and I will be home owners!!
  15. I'm not sure if I heard the stat right last night or not, but I thought I heard the Brewers had the best bullpen in the last 20 games.
  16. I was thinking about this last night. Seems like more than just a roleplayer for the Brewers for the next couple years. He just turned 25, so his best years are still ahead of him if he stays healthy and keeps playing like this. This is obviously way too early to judge this trade of Villar for Sneed but, it won't be a bust on our end. Sneed is doing good so far in their AA so maybe this will be a trade that is good for both teams.
  17. I'm assuming that is a typo on the original writeup but apparently Chase lost his Sox. The real point to this post is that today is my first game this season so hopefully the Brewers can ride their good games into today as well.
  18. Looking back at the almost trade of Gomez to the Mets and it's a very good thing that the Mets were idiots. Flores is hitting .180 in limited action and Wheeler hopefully will be pitching by July. Granted we don't know the extent of the Gomez part of the gomez/fiers trade but I'd bet it'll be much better than what we could have gotten from the Mets.
  19. Carter has hit more home runs and doubles (12 each) than singles (11)
  20. Good luck and keep us posted! Sorry to double post but I wanted to say that our offer was accepted!!
  21. It hasn't been all fun and games. For being a buyer's market, houses disappear quickly. There's been many times where we saw a new house listed, set up an appointment with our realtor and by the time we are about to see the house, it already has an accepted offer.
