I have to admit I didn't expect to wake up this morning and see this but I think I am happy with the news. I thought they might wait until the offseason to see what his trade value was and then decide whether or not to extend his contract. It sounded like Corey really wanted to stay in Milwaukee which is always nice.
Axford was bound to blow a save eventually. The real question will be if he can not let this get in his head and bounce back in his next save opportunity.
I understand Beckham had a good rookie season and is still considered a good prospect but this year he is only batting .237 with a .630 OPS. He also has 10 errors at 2b which is the 2nd highest total in the AL for 2b. I know it is just one season and I don't follow the White Sox too much so can anyone enlighten me on Beckham and what his potential looks to be. I was initially excited when I saw Melvin is going after him but my excitement was tempered a little when I saw his stats for this year. If Hudson is only projected to be a 3/4 starter by the Brewers, I would expect them to get as close to a sure thing as possible with a position player being added for Fielder.
I just got done watching it and really enjoyed it although I don't think I would have been nearly as interested if it wasn't the Brewers. I thought it was interesting that Braun wasn't really shown in the entire show. I loved the comment by Attanasio about how he speaks to Melvin everyday to keep up to date on everything as the owner but really he just is a fan who wants to know what is going on.
Me too, when I hit 10,000.Here I am feeling good about reaching 100 after years of just reading the board and you have to knock my pride down like that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
