  1. Disappointing news, especially for Nats fans. He really has unbelievable stuff and I hope he is able to return to form after his recovery.
  2. Wow, scary stuff. Good to see that Gallardo is fine but I really hope the clubhouse attendant is able to make a full and speedy recovery.
  3. I watched the ceremony on tv and really enjoyed it. Uecker was hilarious as always and I was amazed at how many former Brewers and other notable baseball players were there. One thing I didn't know that I thought was interesting was that Selig and Herb Kohl grew up on the same block as each other. It's kind of crazy that at one time they owned both the Brewers and Bucks.
  4. 4 wins in a row against 2 good teams. Playoff run coming!!!
  5. Watching Cappy pitch extended innings successfully makes me feel warm inside. I have a question that this may almost deserve it's own thread. Who would you rather see start the rest of the season, Cappy or Parra?
  6. Was just able to turn on the game. Worst part about having Gallardo on my fantasy team is that it hurts twice as much when he has a bad outing. Good to see we are still in this game even with an awful game by Gallardo.
  7. Jeff Suppan. I would have to go with Ruth for all the reasons already mentioned.
  8. I already said it once in this thread. Thank you Felipe. Always nice to beat the Cardinals.
  9. This is disappointing but I understand his decision. It's good to see that the Brewers made their best effort to sign him and hopefully it works out for both the Brewers and Covey.
  10. In case anyone is wondering, the MLB record for consecutive ABs with a hit is 12.
  11. I think it is a little interesting that Villanueva wasn't called up but I definitely like the move. If McClendon can be effective in the Majors, we should have a good young bullpen for the next few years. Now all we need is some of our starters to come through for us.
  12. I am surprised to see Cain in RF field as well but given the injury situation it is worth trying. I think the charity auction is a cool idea. There are some nice items up for bid. Unfortunately, they are all a bit too pricey for me.
  13. That is an unbelievably tough stretch. I think I would be happy going 6-12 in those games.
  14. I think it's funny that he was fired on the day they had Japanese Heritage Night at Safeco. It reminds me of when Jorge de la Rosa and Carlos Lee were traded right before Cerveceros Day at Miller Park.
  15. Bucks open the season at New Orleans on October 27 and the home opener is October 30 against Charlotte.
  16. Maybe that's why our pitchers haven't been protecting our hitters. They aren't accurate enough to actually hit the batter.
  17. I didn't get a chance to watch the game tonight but I'm glad Hoffman got another save. I am a huge Axford fan but with little to get excited about this season it would be nice to follow the chase for 600. Hopefully we get to hear Hells Bells a few more times.
  18. Great win. I'm definitely going to miss the intensity of Prince next season.
  19. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but hasn't the Tampa Bay Rays also played the full 162 games each season of their franchise?
  20. I won't believe Cain is actually starting until I see it. Hopefully he is able to take advantage of the opportunity and able to earn some more starts.
  21. Unless it hit the batter, absolutely not. Here's the rule. For some reason I thought it was a dead ball but your right. In that case it definitely should have been a fair ball and the ump should have been watching it when it bounced in the outfield.
  22. I am excited about this news (not that Gomez is on the DL because I hope he is alright). I just hope that Cain gets at least a few chances to start.
  23. I saw the replay from the Marlins game and it really looks to me like the ball initally bounced foul on the very first bounce which would make it a dead ball. I think it was a good call.
