This is a pleasant surprise. I really like Sedar and am glad he is back. As Invader mentioned, I think he gets along really well with the players which it sounds like is important to Roenicke.

I have to think that the fact that we haven't heard about any decisions being made regarding the coaching staff means Peterson is gone. If Roenicke was impressed with him, I can't quite figure out why it's taking this long.

That is the only way I could see a Braun trade happening. However, as much as I love Prince, I would rather have Braun long term than him.

I'd be ok with trading Braun because the only way he gets traded is if a team makes us a ridiculous offer we absolutely can't refuse. That being said, there is no way that happens.

What did everyone think of the new Conan show? I loved it but then again I am a huge Conan fan and was just glad to watch him again. I thought he addressed the NBC thing well in his intro and monologue and overall was his old self.

First of all, I love the new signature And That. I laughed really hard when he said that. I was impressed with Roenicke during his press conference. I am really excited to see an aggressive Brewers team next year although I'm sure the first game we have multiple caught stealings I'll turn. He seems like a really good guy though and is well prepared to manage a clubhouse.

Fire Ron Roenicke!!!! But seriously, I wanted Valentine and didn't want Melvin so while I'm not overly excited by this I am satisfied. It certainly could have been worse.

This made me laugh. Honestly, I can't think of a better way to describe him.

This makes me sad. I always thought Sedar was really good for our clubhouse. I wish him the best of luck.

Congrats Giants. Now announce a managerial hiring Melvin.

I would definitely like to see this happen. It seems like a reasonable way to give more teams a chance to get into the playoffs without prolonging the year too much. I've always thought the NFL has the perfect number of teams make the playoffs because it allows a fair number of teams in but doesn't make it too easy like the NBA.

I loved that video. It's always nice to see Milwaukee teams getting a little bit of the national spotlight.

I'm definitely pumped for the season. However, I think it's going to take a little while for this team to gel due to all the new additions and injuries in preseason. Should be an exciting season though.

Haha, I didn't even think of that. So if the Giants win will he run into the pile of players celebrating?

I know it's not uncommon for coaches to come back with a new manager but what sticks out to me is that Sveum was signed before a new manager was hired. Maybe I'm wrong and this is more common than I think.

While I'm sure the ratings will be lower for this series, I am excited for this matchup. I wouldn't mind either the Rangers or Giants winning.

As of right now, it is the item with the 2nd highest bid ($2,550) to Jon Stewart's signed Rally to Restore Sanity poster. If I were to ask you what Brewers bobblehead was worth the most, would you have guessed Doug Melvin?

If you missed it, here is a link to the video of Melvin's appearance on the show.
  19. Hofbraunhaus
I think it aired sometime between 1.5 and 2 hours in. You can bid on the bobblehead on ebay here.

Anyone see the Night of Too Many Stars on Comedy Central tonight? Jimmy Kimmel donated a Doug Melvin bobblehead signed by a bunch of celebs such as Ben Affleck, Zach Galifianakis, and Clint Eastwood to auction off. Then Kimmel said he would also throw in an autographed Doug Melvin and Melvin came out with signatures all over his face. Did not see that coming but it was hilarious.

It does seem like there aren't as many people there as other places but I can't tell if that's actually true or if it is just bad camera angles. The fact that you can see all the empty seats on either side of the fans makes it seem like there are a lot less people there.

I am sad to hear this but at least it sounds like he will be able to make a fairly speedy recovery. I'm sure the doctors are glad this is happening in the offseason so they won't have to try to persuade Uke from returning to the booth too soon.

I don't have strong feelings either way about most of the manager canidates but I would love Bobby Valentine even though I have a feeling it is a long shot. He seems like the type of guy that would fit in great with this team.

The coverage of the Chile miners' rescue tonight is unbelievable. I can't remember the last time I have been this enthralled watching something.
