  1. I can't wait for this to be the future. As someone who spends a lot of the day in his car for work I can say this would be a huge benefit. Obviously this is years if not decades away from being a standard American technology but it is nice to think of something this progressive becoming a reality.
  2. I really like Sveum but I can't really find it in me to support him as the next manager of the Brewers. I'm not sure why although I suspect it has something to do with the only managerial decision I remember from him.....starting Suppan rather than Gallardo in Game 4.
  3. Welcome back to the playoffs Cincinnati. Unbelievable game by Halladay. That last out seemed to go in slow motion.
  4. I think they should hire Brewerfan.net has the next manager. We could just have polls before and during the games to determine lineups and pitching moves. The question is, who would be the first brave soul to start a Fire Brewerfan.net thread?
  5. Yankees over Twins in 5 Rays over Rangers in 4 Giants over Braves in 4 Phillies over Reds in 3 Yankees over Rays in 5 Giants over Phillies in 7 Yankees over Giants in 6 I don't think the Braves will get out of the NLDS but I am rooting for them. I think it would be cool to see Bobby Cox win it all in his final season.
  6. This isn't really surprising but it makes me very happy.
  7. I was only able to watch the 2nd and 3rd inning (which I understand were 2 of his best innings) but Rogers looked good. If he can give us something close to what he has shown in his 2 starts next year, I will feel a lot better about next season. What a great story it would be to see Rogers succeed next year!
  8. Well, my accident is bugging me a little less now. I found out I will be getting $1500 more than what I still owe for the car so I will at least be able to pay off my car and have money left over to put towards a down payment on a new car. It's a bit of a nuisance to have go car shopping this weekend but it could have been worse.
  9. Was in a hit and run accident earlier this week. Some guy driving an SUV apparently doesn't know how to stop at a crosswalk with people walking in it and doesn't have the decency to take responsiblity. I was sandwiched between two cars and am really lucky not to have been injured. Luckily through the beauty of surveillance cameras, the girl driving the car in front of me and I were able to get a license plate number but who knows what will come of that. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, I was informed this afternoon that my car has been deemed a total loss. So now I have to buy a new car and I am just keeping my fingers crossed that at the very least, the amount I am paid for the loss of my car can cover what I have remaining on the loan. This week sucks.
  10. 3 game winning streak!!! Time to start thinking about the playoffs...I personally would like to see the Braves and Bobby Cox win it all in his last year.
  11. You know it has been a long and tough season when Brian and Rock are spending the majority of the broadcast showing all the intricacies of their job.
  12. The rain would be bugging me too except for the fact that I know in a couple months that rain will become snow.
  13. I second your opinion about Boardwalk Empire Robert. I thought it was done very well and set up the story very well. I love anything with early 20th century gansters so I'm really looking forward to watching.
  14. I am disappointed the Cardinals don't come to Milwaukee again this year. I would love to sit behind the Cardinal's dugout holding up an extra pair of pants for them.
  15. Seth McClung has a new blog on OnMilwaukee.com. He'll be blogging about baseball and other sports. His first blog is about having an optimistic look at some of the things the Brewers did this season. It's cool to see that even as he is living in Florida, he still feels a connection with the city and the Brewers.
  16. Wolf is having a really good night so far. His 2nd half of the season is making me feel a lot better about signing him. Hopefully this can carry over to next season.
  17. The thing that bugs me about those commercials is I remember lots of students showing up to class in their pajamas when I was in college just a few years ago.
  18. I'm definitely a huge fan of roundabouts as well. They aren't right for every intersection but they could keep traffic moving more smoothly at a lot of places.
  19. That was my first time seeing Rogers pitch. Very impressed, granted it was only one inning. I'm excited to see him get the chance to start next year for the Brewers.
  20. Hahaha, that is awesome. It's funny because it's true. I would really love to see some reactions from the Cubs players and front office.
  21. Leaving for Vegas today for some fun and the Badger game!!!
  22. Best news I've heard all day. I had to turn the game off last night because the picture was so horrible, even by WMLW standards. My dad just bought his first HDTV two weeks ago and previously always thought I was overreacting when I complained about WMLW games. He called me last night during the game and said he finally understood.
  23. Lorenzo Cain is the man!!! With every hit that Lo gets, the more I can't stand Gomez.
  24. Has anyone seen or heard any official word on this? While I certainly understand the Brewers parting with him, he has always been a favorite of mine although I don't really have a reason for that. I would love to see a minor league pitcher get his chance though.
