  1. Rickie hurt a finger on a slide I think. I don't think it's anything serious. I just realized how long this game is taking.
  2. I was able to get a late start today for work. Woke up, turned on the TV and Saved By The Bell was on. It's going to be a good day.
  3. Reds are losing in the 8th. We could be tied for 1st at the end of tonight.
  4. I'm definitely concerned mainly because of him only having one good year but I'm still hopeful he will turn it around. I agree that he seemed to be overthrowing a bit last night.
  5. Gallardo needs to go deep into the game with the doubleheader. Hopefully we can get into the National's bullpen early in the 1st game.
  6. I'm quite happy about this. It has been a long week and I wouldn't have been able to watch today. I'm looking forward to enjoying 2 games tomorrow.
  7. I give no credit to triple R. He has pretty consistently made some confusing/bad decisions so far. I would agree about some of his decisions. I was referring to his positive attitude, which numerous players have referenced when talking about getting past the losing streak.
  8. Great win by the Brew Crew. After we started 0-4, I was hoping we could get back to .500 sometime in May considering the injuries we had. They have really bounced back quickly which is a credit to the team and Roenicke.
  9. I agree with most of you. Estrada seemed to struggle in the first couple of innings but really looked good for most of the game. I don't exactly expect him to become a top of the rotation guy, but think he could be a solid 4 or 5.
  10. Greatest. Radio Interview. Ever. I have great faith in Brewers fans that the "Tony Plush" chant will occur this season.
  11. Today I learned that in 1924, Kenosha had a NFL team (the Maroons) and Sheboygan had a NBA team in the 1949-50 season (Red Skins).
  12. Really looking forward to watching the game tonight (even if it is on WMLW). I had recorded the game on Thursday but was in too bad of a mood to watch it after following along live on gameday. A great start by Marcum is exactly what I need after the spring training injuries and opening day disappointment.
  13. I won't be able to watch opening day live for the first time in years due to starting a new job this week. I've got the DVR already set and I'm going to try not to find out anything about the game until I watch it. However, I think the chances of me making it past 1:20 without checking the score are slim to none.
  14. It's always best to check a few different places. I bought a car last fall and was given a decent rate by the dealership. Out of curiosity I went to a bank and got an even better rate. Turns out it was the same bank that the dealership went through, they just jacked it up a bit. The dealership matched the banks rate which made things easier for me. Getting the loan is easy, trying to get it through the dealership's head that you don't want any of their extra service plans is the tough part.
  15. I'm 11 games into my franchise on MLB2K11 and Greinke and Gallardo are out for the season already. Marcum and Weeks are out for 2-3 months. I think it's time to just delete this file and start over.
  16. I would love Arnett to take over and I agree with razor that he needs to put a lot of Gob into it. At first I was sad to hear that Carell was leaving but the more I think about it, the character has just run out of storylines and jokes besides this final one. I still think the Office has some good seasons ahead of it if they find the right replacement.
  17. Finally, I'm back in my comfort zone with scouts predicting an awful year for the Brewers. I don't really put a whole lot of stock into unnamed scouts predictions for a team. I'm guessing outside of the obvious bottom feeders, you will be able to find different scouts that think any given team is going to be really good and really bad at the same time. My guess is Gammons just happened to talk to a few of the scouts who have jumped off the bandwagon since the injuries. There is no doubt that the injuries have put a bit of damper on the excitement for this team but there is a lot of talent on the Brewers and if they can stay relatively healthy for the bulk of season, they should be at least a playoff contender going into September.
  18. Both Wisconsin and Marquette lost their games in the first half. Frustrating couple of days for me as a fan of both. The positive from this is that Bo Ryan's Badgers will be back next year of course and I really think Buzz Williams is just starting his own streak of successful Marquette teams. Neither team was expected to make it this far (especially Marquette) so I think we should be proud. Even better, the teams were nice enough to take us to the week of opening day for the Brewers. Also, in regards to some previous posts, I think Gardner is going to be an absolute stud in a year or two.
  19. Tough loss for the Badgers tonight. Their play in the 1st half was awful but it was at least fun to watch the brief moment at the end of the game where they made it close. It's nights like this when I am glad to be both a huge Badger and Marquette fan (Yes, you can be both). Hopefully Marquette can make the state of Wisconsin proud tomorrow with a win. In the mean time, (There is some bad language) Pretty funny.
  20. I don't remember a time I've seen a team mishandle the ball so frequently. It's gonna be tough to win a game when you have 2 1st team all Big Ten players who are playing like they would struggle to make a Divison 3 team. Hopefully Bo rips into this team at halftime and they actually show a semblance of wanting to win.
