  1. I'm guessing even if like 10 players got helmets on quick and ran out on the field, I could see it becoming an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty if not worse.
  2. I watched it on the watch ESPN app and only got commercials when there were commercial breaks.
  3. I like how the argument was we haven't played anyone and then we get Iowa and Michigan ranked the week we play them and win. But if it comes down to possibly a 1 loss bama it will be they didn't play anyone and Iowa and Michigan aren't ranked anymore, while ignoring northwestern and propping up the fsu win for bama because "they looked real good that week. Like one of the best teams in the country".
  4. I just came here to post about the same thing. I was really excited to get my first look at the team this year, but nooo gotta have women's basketball on tv and make the badger game a pay game.
  5. Yeah, you're right. Those numbers are as interesting as I had hoped. Just too many variables to factor into it. And he did drop for all intents and purposes. Thanks for the numbers though.
  6. Ive been pretty meh on the whole capers thing, basically i feel theres been enough blame to go around combined with the thought that just making a change doesn't mean things will get better, but tonight changed my mind. For a team that has struggled so much in the red zone and against the blitz to just shred us in both situations is just telling to me.
  7. McCarthy has a white board somewhere in his office that reads: Offense without Rodgers 1. Get wr/rb moving behind the line of scrimmage 2. Get them the ball 3. ??? 4. Touchdowns
  8. I know. It's like McCarthy opened up his bag of tricks and dumped them all out on the first drive and then said there, that should put us up 21-0. I thought he was gonna loosen the reigns and then plays behind the line of scrimmage the rest of the half.
  9. When Iowa was up big on Ohio st I started to wonder if having Iowa and Mich beat osu, thus improving the quality of victories over those teams for us, and then beating a 1 loss, and still highly ranked, Penn st team in the championship game would be better than just facing a 1 loss Ohio st team and having Iowa and Michigan with a slightly worse record. And then Penn st lost as well. At least Iowa st lost as well which hurts Oklahoma and tcu since the committee chair mentioned Iowa state's improved play since the qb change specifically as a factor for both those teams not getting dinged as much with that loss. Northwestern has just Illinois, Purdue, and Minnesota left so they should be able to finish 9-3. Would that make them a quality win?
  10. Trey "super" isn't bolded. I was just about to ask who medeiros was tied with since I didn't see him in my initial skim. Also his name but I kinda like the change Also kind of a random thought, but I noticed diplan stayed at 20, which must be pretty difficult to do at that low in the rankings, and it got me wondering if while staying in the same rank he gained or lost votes. With there being different numbers of ballets each time maybe an avg woukd work best. So I was wondering if maybe, in future polls at least, you could include like an avg and how it changed from the last poll? Obviously I would understand if you didn't want to if it's too much work, since this is already a pretty huge task.
  11. Now to decide where to put the trophy case to house our 2018 world series trophy.
  12. To be fair he was hit as he threw it. Not looking good on both sides of the ball right now. Sometimes I wish we had a little more imagination on offense. It seems like our offensive game plan is to run the ball till they stop us twice and we are in third and long and have to throw and then we finally throw a play action in and it's a 2 yard pass to a tight end. [sarcasm]Are we running too much that the line forgets how to pass block?[/sarcasm]
  13. Someone created a microgeneration from I think 77-82. Cause they weren't raised with electronics but can still understand them or some such. [sarcasm]I blame them.[/sarcasm]
  14. I'm starting to worry it might not be enough. I'm sure it will work itself out, but I would not be surprised if the year we go undefeated is the year there's a doomsday scenario and we are on the outside left looking in.
  15. Yeah but I'm not gonna buy something if I don't know I'll like it.
  16. Not to mention not having a full library of past episodes available.
  17. He went on the dl Thursday or Friday, after his surgery.
  18. To be fair he said top 5 qb. Vikings and dolphins didn't have a top 5 qb nor is that how their teams are constructed, around the qb position, we did and ours is. Jones has been a pleasant surprise but this team isn't a running team with a qb that doesn't lose the game and we won't win any games if McCarthy tries to make it one.
  19. There's been talk about the jags trading for manning, [sarcasm]but maybe we should.[/sarcasm] I don't really want any part of manning, but man how the season has turned. I really was unimpressed how the game was called after Rodgers went out. It's like they didn't trust hundly to pass the ball, though he didn't do much when he had the chance to change their minds. Maybe it was just the part change work line that scared them, but hopefully Rodgers can come back and hundly can keep them close enough to salvage the season.
  20. And this is why the challenge system is horrible.
  21. Im going to thread jack and say im glad im not an indians fan. The past 2 years must have been brutal for them. Sure theyve won a bunch of games and had that 22 game winning streak, but they have now lost 6 straight series clinching games. Thats insane! That more heartbreak than anyone but cubs and cards...and probably yankee fans deserve.
  22. I had the realization that that specific hell is possible while watching the yankees eliminate the indians tonight. If the cubs beat the nats, the pessimistic side of me will be beating that over my head until one of them gets eliminated...if one of them does *shudder*
  23. I think before we go with gps in the ball we would have to start with sensors along the goal line first. Something that can detect when the ball goes over the line with some sort of indicator somewhere, possibly similar to the red light around the backboard in basketball, where if you are trying to determine knee down situations you can clearly tell exactly when the ball crosses as well as the did it cross situations. Once we get something like that established and working well for a few years then i dont think ot would be too much of a leap to expand to using something like that to spot the ball. Then its just a matter of figuring out how to do it without screwing with the ball too much and implementing a quick, like near instantaneous, relay system. Then you could have stuff like sensors in the knee pads and other areas where youre down by contact that can detemine when a players on the ground, possibly combined with some sort of glove that can tell when a ball starts to come out and we can get down and fumble calls right and immediately. Though some of that is either decades away or just wishful thinking lol.
  24. I agree. I was yelling at the tv "he pulled it back!?". Its a good thing those calls didnt cost us the game but they could have easily.
