  1. Rain rain come on strong. Save us from our crappy bullpen.
  2. He watched yesterdays game. He knows thats a ball for cardinal hitters
  3. So we meet again brewers worst enemy, runner on third less than 2 outs.
  4. How many runs do we need to score here to feel safe? 6? 7?
  5. I would have let hader bat if only because i had more faith in him getting a hit over franklin...or thames...or bandy, let alone the matchup vs carpenter looming.
  6. Dear offense, the team is in stl now. Please come and play.
  7. Woodruff needed to be added to the 40 and i guess there was no one in the minors they wantes to drop off the 40.
  8. Since woodruff isnt the 26th, i wonder what happens after today. Sent back down, takes a starter spot, or to the pen. Also makes me wonder if they will call up a 26th, but i think it would be silly not to if you can. We did have the day off yesterday and maybe they dont want to use service time for anyone else, but its just 1 day and youve gotta cover yourself i would think.
  9. Will fsn give him the kevin mench treatment or is that reserved for [sarcasm]franchise saviors received in trade at the deadline[/sarcasm]?
  10. Its like the team made a concentrated effort to get the run in from third with less than 2 outs so much, that all 3 outs were basically the same sac fly even though the first one got the job done. Nice inning from nelson. Hes been battling but might still be able to salvage a quality start.
  11. Hughes seemed to make some adjustments and was pretty dominate last night. Id be ok with giving him a little more leash to see how it works out. Drake and feliz could be let go today and i would help them pack.
  12. Is there another rule that specifically uses that language, runner must beat the ball? Because i still think 6.05 is worded ball must beat the runner and 7.01 basically just says he gets the base if 6.05 doesnt happen.
  13. So, the tie goes to the runner, unless called otherwise on the field, in which case the replay will uphold the tie going to whatever is called on the field. We've been screwed by replay and/or 50/50 calls upheld at least 6 times in the last 2 weeks. Nothing about that definition indicates that a tie is supposed to go to the runner. Actually I think it does. Bolded part seems to mean that the tag has to happen before he reaches base. If its a tie, then it hasnt happened before he got there, therefore he would be safe. Though i could be wrong since im not a lawyer, and thus dont speak legalese.
  14. Please for the sake of my sanity dont blow this in the ninth...and win the game too would be nice.
  15. Ball 3 and 4 looked like strike 3 and 4 to me...
  16. I heard that as well, though he claimed santana stopped at second which is why he was confused.
