"Usually?" I'm struggling to come up with ONE pitcher who came through the system in the last 30 years and exceeded his projected ceiling as a prospect. It's difficult to even find guys who've MATCHED expectations. Sheets and Gallardo hit their reasonable ceilings. Then... Fiers?
Isnt rock wrong? Isnt the very definition of a force out where you can just touch the base and not have to tag anyone, which makes doubling off jaso a force out and it not matter if they beat cervelli or not?
Hate that it had to end that way. At least get a shot off. Heck, at least inbound it to a buck! It was an exciting comeback though. Giannis was so gassed im amazed he made it to the end.
Game 4 about as bad as game 3 was good. Maybe we will just win all the odd games, but hopefully we can pull it off in 6. Would be fun to watch them win the series at home.
Sometimes i think rock would call a pitch a foot off the plate called a strike 'too close to take'. Telling every hitter dont bother developing an eye because every pitch around the plate is 'too close to take' is ridiculous!
They mentioned it in the broadcast last night, but its 8 games done 3 times. Most recent was griffey in 93. Mattingly in 87 and dale long in 56 were the other 2. Mattingly hit 10 over that 8 game stretch as well.
