These second and third string defensive players haven't played terrible vs the viking starters. The all backup offensive line hasn't stood a chance vs the Vikings starters.
I Initially thought love should at least get some game time before the playoffs, but not behind this line and risking any of the starters in a meaningless game seems the right idea. So hopefully he's ready to go next week.
If no current matchups change, I'd say buff/NE is top, GB/chi is a close second, knocked down due to the Packers injuries, and philly/Rams as 3rd with a small gap. Top 2 have those divisional ties that make the games just a little more extra.
They signed Desmond riddler, I think that's his name, to the practice squad. So presumably he will be elevated to the roster, assuming that's still a thing. Would be fun to turn him into the next Willis.
Talk of fan duel in another thread made me think of this, but how is this still a thing. First it was FSN and they lost money until ballys bought the rights. They they lost money till they merged or were bought out by fan duel. How long until people stop saying I'll put money into that and mlb is forced to figure out a way to distribute games to the fans themselves.
Trevon diggs released by the cowboys today and now there's a lot of smoke connecting him to green Bay. Anyone have an idea of if it would be worth while? Watching our corner backs makes me feel like going all Phillip rivers and kicking the tires on Charles Woodson makes sense and a cardboard cutout of a corner back couldn't be worse. But if the cowboys cut him it does bring me pause.
I just noticed Atlantas win last night potentially puts them in position to determine the nfc south. If tampa wins, that puts them in a 2 way tie. If Atlanta wins on Sunday, they are now a 3 way tie. Tampa has the 2 way tie breaker, but Carolina has the 3 way.
I wonder how much clinching today will change their strategy. Does that lions team beat the bears next week even if both games go our way this week?
Feels like an opportunity to just get as healthy as we can and prepare for Chicago in the playoffs.
Only thing I can say is that it too a miracle for them to beat us when our starting qb got knocked out 1/3 of the way into the game. Pretenders, or said another way, they are who we thought they were and we let them off the hook.
