I know they’re establishing a rotation for the 17th game, but I still don’t like how the Packers conveniently drew the Chiefs @ Arrowhead for the first extra game (someone in the league office had an extra TV matchup mind). And now it just happens to be the defending #1 seed? It could have been Cincinnati. Don't look now but the Packers are also a #1 seed... Maybe it actually makes sense? I looked it up because I thought it was you match up 1-16 in each conference, but saw there would be some duplicate cross conference matchups. So, they have the rotation of playing all 4 teams from one of the divisions, and when they added the 17th game, that match-up is the equally ranked team from the division you played 2 years prior. Examples: in 2019 we played the afc west, so this year we matched up against them. In 2020 we played the ABC south, since we were the #1 in our division we play the #1 in that division, the titans. The 2023 schedule will have us play whichever team wins the afc north in 2022 (because we will win the division next year again obviously) and so on.
