  1. Burned by the shift there. Don't have the numbers but it seems this year the shift has hurt more than it has helped,
  2. I was half-listening to MLB Network, but it sounded like they said he was due for a regular day to rest, plus he's been battling neck/back issues (don't know if they meant his neck and back were bothering him currently or just that they have been this season). EDIT: TH said that Braun's neck is bothering him. It almost kept him out of the last series. fortunately the brewers are playing the pirates. they might be able to take 3 out of 4 without braun. if he goes down the team is in deep sh!t. Don't assume they are just going to roll over the pirates. They have their # but the Brewer are playing bad baseball right now.
  3. Well I really like 1-3, but that's about it. If Wily wasn't pitching I wouldn't even bother tuning into this one.
  4. I think you will see Yuni starting at 2B before you see Gennett get called up. How much of Weeks struggles do you all think is due to his buddy Price being gone? He hasn't been the same player since Prince left for Detroit. Never thought much about it until recently.
  5. I'm with you, but at least Luc is still coming up with clutch hits. See Stache previous post. He is batting .360 in high leverage situations.
  6. Haha, haven't heard that name in a while, but I know what you mean.
  7. My only sleeper is Gagnon. Not much of a sleeper anymore since he hit the hot sheet, but I have been following him since last year and like his upside.
  8. Just got home and turned on the TV. Glad to see Yo being Yo with 87 pitches in the 4th.
  9. I think the Brewers can't develop pitching stigma comes from their first round fails. First round pitchers since 2004 are Rogers, Jeffress, Arnett, Covey, Bradley, and Jungman. I will give Bradley and Jungman some time yet, but they are doing nothing yet to make me think they will pan out. The other guys on the list have made essentially zero contribution at the big league level. Pitching is a crapshoot but the Brewers brass is especially horrible at scouting and drafting pitching.
  10. Nice card, but a 9.5 is a 9.5. The sub grades mean nothing in the end and do not bring a premium.
  11. He is good, there is a reason he was a top 10 prospect. I would give my left nut to have arms like his in the brewers system. not all top 10 prospects end up living to the hype. i wouldnt want a pitcher that throws nothing but fastballs. eventually he's going to get smacked around. give me the breaking ball master with control over the flamethrower anyday. He throws 73% fastballs and the off-speed just enough to keep the hitters honest. He does exactly what people have been begging Yo to do for years. Trust your stuff and throw strikes.... He also controls that fastball well. Doesn't leave too many over the heart of the plate in obvious fastball counts. Like him, but still hate him because he is a Cardinal.

  13. Glad Rick is getting back in a grove. I actually have faith some good things will happen in the 9th.
  14. That at bat proves something to me, Gomez is starting to figure it out. Not a single corkscrew swing??? He would have gotten himself out in the past.
  15. Hell of a throw by Braun though to make it even remotely close. Aoki made that throw.
