  1. Axford's issue is he can't throw that curve for a strike. When he was dominate he could drop the curve in for a stike at anytime; so that fastball blew hitters away. Now they sit fastball because that is all he can get over. He simply lost the feel for the curve. Green walkoff would be awesome!
  2. Please Brewers do something today to keep me interested in this season.
  3. Well, with all due respect, I believe that's ridiculous. Adam Dunn would have to struggle to be at 400 HR's by the end of this year and should EASILY be at about 410 HR's. He's 32 years old. Lets say he plays another 8 years and averages 25 Hr's a year(very low, but for the sake of argument). That would put him at about 610 HR's. And you're going to tell me that when not a single player who has hit 500 HR's without the stink of roids on him or has admitted to using them HASN'T made the HOF, this player who could EASILY surpass 600 HR's has "zero chance?" Sorry, this is a pet peeve for me. To me, he doesn't FEEL like a HOF'er, but to just blandly throw out there that he has ZERO chance of being a HOF'er...which...given the career he's had to this point at 32 years of age is ridiculous. He has ZERO chance. He is a career .243 hitter who has stuck out at a 34% clip over the course of his career. Never once in my life have I ever thought "Wow, Adam Dunn is absolutely dominant." The HOF is supposed to be for those WOW type players who were dominant MVP types while they played. Again, I personally think he should have zero chance to get it.
  4. Exactly what I posted, TAYLOR GREEN. I was joking about the month comment. I know Weeks can't be given a month off, but I think a DL stint with a "bad hammy" would be good for Weeks and the Brewers. Anyone in that lineup should be batting 5th over Weeks at this point.
  5. Another day, another RHP, and another lineup without Green's name in it. Give weeks a month off and toss Taylor at second. Weeks is showing no signs of working out of his slump and shouldn't be doing it in the 5th hole. Go Brewers!
  6. Don't think Bianchi offers much. Yeah he is posting a good average this year, but it is basically the first time in his career he has done anything in the minors of note. Guy has zero power, and will be a career minor leaguer. Not saying Ransom is good, but Bianchi doesn't intrigue me at all.
  7. What a difference a year makes. About this time last year I was starting to get more and more pumped about this team. No I am starting to care less and less, which is sad. Zack toss a complete game shut-out to get that trade value as high as possible!
  8. Wow, this is a Sunday lineup if I ever saw one. Is Braun still day to day?
  9. While I don't necessarily disagree with you; don't you think it's sort of an interesting time to make a comment like that when he's solely responsible for our only run tonight? No because he is soley responsible for 3 of the Pirates runs. That adds up to -2 tonight for Morgan. Where are all the Morgan is a plus defender guys?
  10. Yep, I have never been able to stand the whole George has to catch Wolf thing. At this point there is no other reason to explain it other than RRR is just to much of a wimp to take control and tell Randy what's up.
  11. Get the brooms out! I think a sweep on the road against the Dodgers could help this team get some mojo back.
  12. I'm actually pumped for this game. My favorite Brewer's pitcher going against one of the best in the game. Hopefully, the bats get a couple across and we win another tight one.
  13. Who cares, let's talk about something more productive like who is going to replace him on the roster. After watch George last night I don't think he is healthy enought right now to play either. Maldonado is really the only option right?
  14. Haven't seen this discussed anywhere so I figured I would start a thread. A lot of what if here, but wouldn't it have been nice to have been able to hang onto Capuano. He has been awesome this year for the Dodgers. I can't recall exactly why the Brewers let him walk. I know there were the injury concerns but was he really not at option as a 5th starter going into 2011? I would take him right now over Wolf or Estrada. Frankly, he is been better this year than any pitcher on the Brewers roster by a long shot. Not much else to talk about with this team.
  15. I was thinking the same thing, but he might have tweaked a hammy around third.
  16. I think he is going to keep it up this year. Not to the tune of .342/.389/.550/.939, but I don't think he will hit the wall like he did last year in the second half.
  17. Not only is he swinging at everything close he is trying to pull every thing that is close. He should take a couple weeks off and just watch video of Braun and Lucroy. Perfect examples of how to not try too hard and take what they give you.
