  1. This is just as bad as your whole "disrespecting the game" crap you had to say when the Cubs pitched Jon Jay.
  2. Good god Rock, stop acting like this is the first time this has ever happened in this history of baseball. It's a smart move.
  3. Villar just fouled one right at the pigeon and it didn't even flinch.
  4. How come no one has shooed that pigeon away yet? It's been there the whole game.
  5. I would assume that the coaching staff told Thames not to hold him on.
  6. Probably. And I have no idea why. Pitch Wily till his arm falls off then get a position player up there to lob it in till the game is over.
  7. I'm enjoying it knowing that this SHOULD be the last time Wily pitches for the Brewers.
  8. I'm thinking this seals it, Wily is gone for good after this game.
  9. I'd say just about any other team, yes. But since Yost the Brewers pretty much let every team do whatever they want to them.
  10. Now I'm only watching for the inevitable plunking of someone for that Lind SB.
  11. Good news is this is how I predicted Peralta will be DFA'd. He'll get burned today and then gone tomorrow.
  12. Back to back HR to the two worst non-pitcher hitters in the lineup. After walking the pitcher.
  13. When guys can hit pitches that far that aren't even strikes, who cares what kind of zone the umps have. Swing the bat guys.
  14. The Nationals have scored 1 run against our starters this series. Not concerned about Blazek. Whoever he gives the ball to is what worries me.
  15. Considering Braun gets hurt every other game, quite often the regular days off for guys line up to look like a Sunday lineup.
  16. Beltre was in the tv camera view of the pitcher/catcher/batter while on deck. When have you ever seen that before? He was basically asking to be kicked out. Yet, the ump could have just motioned with his hand to move the on deck circle back. Then again, the grace was telling him to move back to the batter's circle. Doesn't happen often but I've seen the on deck batter on TV before. And Beltre wasn't even that far, like 10 feet from the circle. In a 10 run game the ump was clearly looking for someone to toss.
  17. To me it's not about righty/left matchup, it's about bringing in a guy who pitches to contact versus a strikeout pitcher. There was a base open, if Hader walks him so be it. A double play wasn't needed so stick with the guy with nasty stuff - whether that was Hader or Knebel. Hughes was almost the worst choice to make in that situation.
  18. Never in my life have I seen a player stand near the on deck circle for more than a second or two. They wonder all over the place. Davis needs to be fined and suspended for letting his ego get out of check.
  19. Blazek started his last 9 games with Colorado Springs and went at least 6 innings the last 3. Not sure why we're assuming today will be a bullpen day.
  20. It's pretty inexcusable that he's not with the team. I can understand if he needs to get things sorted out with where ever he's living but he'll be in Milwaukee in 3 days. I think the team would give him the afternoon off to drive the 90 minutes back to Chicago to get that all straightened out.
  21. How does it take a guy two days to get from Chicago to Washington DC? Did his horse break a leg?
  22. Yah waiting so long to give someone the boot doesn't make sense. You are trying to tell me someone is chilling at the ballpark right now and at some point just hours before the game is going to get the boot? No way. There is no need to be secretive about giving Oliver Drake(example) the boot if you know that is what you are going to do. There is something going on. Either the person is already gone or they are aware they won't be around if mystery player isn't traded in time. If they are traded though they probably survive until tomorrow. Perhaps they are concerned about Nelson or someone else pulling a Woodruff and hurting themselves while warming up.
  23. I think you're all thinking too hard on this. Phillips to AAA and Peralta DFA'd.
