  1. I'm a flip guy and even I see no point in getting him. Maybe if it was a straight up claim but I don't know why the Royals would just let him go for free seeing as they will be trying to compete next year too.
  2. Some scouts are saying he looked ok, some are saying he looked terrible. It's tough to take anything away from that. Unlike most others, I hope he makes it.
  3. I can't believe that Torres and Boyer are still Brewers. Both would be an improvement for any teams bullpen and neither have a future in Milwaukee.
  4. [sarcasm]Typical Midwest media bias.[/sarcasm]
  5. This why RBI is not an irrelevant stat no matter how much the advance stat guys say otherwise. Being clutch is a thing. He would probably have 200 RBI if he was even the slightest clutch. 2 outs, RISP - .123 AVG Late & Close - .159 AVG Career line - .218/.314/.459 Career RISP - .220/.338/.460 Career Late&Close - .207/.310/.401 Considering he's facing better pitchers in Late & Close situation's I think those numbers are right in line with his overall numbers.
  6. This why RBI is not an irrelevant stat no matter how much the advance stat guys say otherwise. Being clutch is a thing. Career line - .218/.314/.459 Career RISP - .220/.338/.460 He's the same hitter with runners in scoring position as he is every other time. He is no more or less "clutch" or whatever buzz word you want to use.
  7. The Cardinals have blown through their best two relievers. They're down to Bowman, Kiekhefer, Jerome Williams, Socolovich, and... ... Zach Duke and Jonathan Broxton. Doesn't matter if all they had left was the garbage man. Any Cardinal pitcher > any Brewer hitter.
  8. I see two Brewers infielder errors in the top of the 10th to allow two runs to score. Because...Cardinals.
  9. Ugh, Elmore. You can't tell me there isn't some late 20's guy in AAA they couldn't at least give a shot over him.
  10. Has Maldonado ever picked off a runner? He makes a lot of throws but I can't remember him ever actually getting someone out.
  11. I was done with Wily as a Brewer in any form but he figured something out in Colorado Springs. Looks like he found 2-3 MPH on his fastball and a little more control.
  12. Gyorko looks like he should be working for UPS or something, not playing professional baseball.
  13. That Cardinal lineup is pretty underwhelming. Yet they continue to be successful. How I hate them.
  14. Most of Maldanado's mistakes are being too aggressive with his arm. Like his stupid throw while falling down last night that cost a base. He's like a high school catcher that can throw 90 MPH and thinks he can throw anybody out whenever he wants so he makes stupid throws and but just winds up hurting his team.
  15. I don't think so. How would you even see that on your TV? The fact Scooter Gennett saw it was fair and then acted like it hit him square in the balls tells you it definitely did not hit his foot. I could tell it hit his foot live. Both Scooter and Molina acted like it was foul. Craig doesn't even want an explanation. The whole thing was pretty much every Brewer/Cardinal game for the last 6 years.
  16. Brewers piss away another game against the Cardinals. Some things never changed.
  17. Way to not give a crap Craig. You really got your players back.
  18. I hate the Cardinals so much. They make us play like crap. I knew we were going to blow that lead. Just want to see that city burn and take their stupid team with them.
  19. Ya, Lamont became the manager but if you watch the highlights you'll see some random guy making changes to the posted lineup card and on the phone for a replay. Seems like one of the other coaches could have handled those duties.
  20. Mike Everitt ejected 4 different Tigers over 3 separate occasions yesterday. During the first ejection the announcers decided to talk about Everitt's father dying of cancer. Really weird. After Ausmus and the hitting coach were ejected it appeared the "acting bench coach" was some guy in a polo shirt as he made the changes to the lineup card and handled the phone for replays.
  21. Has Suter ever thrown a pitch below the waist? I've never seen a guy work up so consistently.
  22. It would be laughable if it wasn't so predictable. I guess you send him with the pitcher up and 2 outs.
