  1. Small sample but 4 of the 6 division leaders currently have a negative run differential.
  2. At least Jordan will get to play his one game for the Brewers since he will be DFA'd after getting rocked.
  3. Seems unlikely given where we are in the season. Seems like most players that got the vaccine shot got it earlier this month (and I read Brewer players got the J&J shot - so one and done). Had to google what you said. Only found two players (but maybe there were more). Garrett Cooper and Gio Urshela, and I believe both were only out for a few days. So, hopefully that's the case, but again, I really doubt it unless Burns just recently decided he wanted the shot. Also, I believe I read that Bettinger will make his MLB debut Sunday. No need to announce that if it's just a matter of Corbin getting over a reaction to the shot. I've had at least 3 others on my fantasy team. Greg Holland, Jake McGee, and Diego Castilla all missed a game or two over the last week.
  4. Plenty of players have gone of the COVID list due to reactions from the shot. This could be it.
  5. Check out Jomboy's breakdown. He has an angle where you can clearly see Diaz change his direction to run AT Godley as he's throwing the ball. Another thing I haven't seen mentioned is that Diaz was making no effort to hustle. As far as I'm concerned that's the same as the runner giving up and walking back to the dugout on a dropped 3rd strike and therefore an automatic out.
  6. Sinclair is recouping it's fee by selling advertising. I can't imagine Gruber Law Offices and Feldco Windows are forking out massive amounts of cash for commercials. The Miami market is going to have a lot more and much larger businesses looking to advertise than what is in Milwaukee.
  7. The runner's established basepath and running lane along first base mean nothing here. Godley did nothing to interfere with the runner and even if he may have caused him to slightly redirected his running path, he was out by so much it made no difference on the play. I don't know how anyone could look at what happened and say that was the correct call.
  8. Yup. Better than bending over and saying can I another Marty. And yet Marty still has a say in this game. And what exactly is sitting on your hands like a child in church going to accomplish? There's total incompetence in the first base umpires box today and he needs to hear about it.
  9. I'm not saying he needs to get ejected but he needs to have the umps explain themselves. You can't make a totally bizarre call like that without justification. If he gets tossed it happens but he just gave them a free pass on their stupidity.
  10. Why not? Whether he's on the top step of the dugout or 5 feet down the hall doesn't make a difference.
  11. I have no idea how Counsell doesn't put up any fight there but it didn't look like any player said a word either. They were probably too dumb founded at what happened to know what to say. What can you say? That is probably the first time that has happened ... well ... ever. Hey blue, what did you see that made you make that call? At least make him justify it.

  13. Godley "interferred" with the runner by coming within 6 feet out of him when he was easily out.
  14. Is there any reason why this info is so secretive? Seems like something that could and should be easily and openly reported.
  15. Yikes. Maybe send him a video of piazza getting hit in the face with a ball and knocked unconscious, and ask if he'd like that to be him. I mean, eye for an eye right so now we should throw at him? Or, some ways of previously doing things were just really stupid...and we are evolving. The whole idea here is to take administrative measures to minimize injury. It's the same reason the nfl started cracking down on big hits on wr over the middle. The goal is to change behavior for sake of player safety... What did he say? Looks like he took it down now. It's still up. "Baseball today is soft... need to stand up for my teammates." No way you can reduce a suspension when now two guys have admitted it's intentional. As for the bolded part, if MLB really wanted to stop this they would do more than a token 2 or 3 game suspension. Missing a month or more would be a deterrent but a couple games is nothing.
  16. Here's far from the only one. I think you'll find a good number of the players who actively try to get hit throw a fit when they do. I don't get it. Maybe it's an act to get in the pitcher's head.
  17. I was laughing at reading everyone saying the Brewers, and Counsell specifically, are dirty and do this all the time. Apparently they never come here to read how often we complain that the Brewers never retaliate despite getting walked over by Molina and the Cards year after year.
  18. What happens with breaking balls will be interesting. My own uneducated opinion is that breaking balls will have more movement and be tougher to hit, thereby negating any gains for the hitter having more time to react to the fastball. Catchers will always be there. Pitchers need a target.
