  1. I feel like this is going to happen sometime soon something doesn't change. And I would be 100% ok with that.
  2. Oh dear lord, that just made my weekend!
  3. I fully "second" that thought.
  4. Got mine for $17.99 in Madison. Might have overpaid a bit, but oh well.
  5. To quote a guy I know, "Shoot it, shovel it, and shut up about it". But seriously, I've heard that soaking marshmallows in some sort of poison/ammonia/etc, will kill them and supposedly they won't spray. But I think that maybe smoking them out would be a good way to go about it.
  6. I bought a few of these boxes yesterday too, and the relics/autograph inserts were scattered throughout the box, not just the top three packs. The best card I pulled was a Carlos Zambrano rip card; I had to rip it, and lo-and-behold, there was a Fielder short-print mini card in there. Pretty pleased with that. Interesting thing was, the rip card was in the very last pack that I opened. I'll probably end up buying some more boxes since I just love these set.
  7. I really like that print. I was pretty sure I was just going to get it framed as-is, but I like the suggestion of trying to get a few autos on there first. I checked earlier today and there's one on ebay. Here's the item number if you want to check it out: 130404935596 By the way, it does say on it "One in a limited edition of 1970", which I find strange, unless there's only 1970 or fewer 20-pack, 40-pack and full season seat holders.
  8. To the point of not throwing over 100 pitches, they aren't going to let him throw over that at all this year, and they'll be shutting him down at around 100 IP from what I've heard. They're not going to burn him out like what happened with Mark Prior. And nope, I don't ever see that trade working out.
  9. "Medium Pace", Adam Sandler.
  10. I don't know how many times I've thought that over the years. Hopefully he's turned the corner and that's what we'll be getting from here on out.
  11. Give me 1st base side every day of the week. Love it.
  12. I put a bid up to $125...guess I was way off.
  13. Check that glovebox for a pencil.
  14. That's fine, but I will say, just throw 5-6 fennel seeds in there; you don't need many of them to give it a nice flavor. But, to each, their own.
  15. I think Vargas and Suppan should go. Oh, wait, to the All-Star game...yeah, Braun and McGehee should be about it.
  16. So is it just the Hardy, Suppan and Riske that are for sale, or are all of them up for grabs for the right price? If any of them are for sale, I'd be interested in McGehee, Escobar, Hart, Weeks, Counsell, Coffey and Sheets. And yeah, what an awesome collection.
  17. Are you looking for spicy? If so, I've got a great sauce recipe that'll put some sweat on your brow. But, if you're not looking for spicy, you can always cut down the amount of ingredients. Here it is: Tomato Puree (a 28 oz. can will do about 4 decent sized pizzas) Add in a little salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and finally, fennel seeds (about 1/4 tsp.). Mix it to your own personal taste. I like to make mine really spicy, so I put a generous amount of the red pepper flakes and black pepper. I like to let mine "marinate" for a day or two to let the seasonings really sink in. Enjoy!
  18. Nice! What an experience that would be! Hope all goes well for him.
  19. Don't care who replaces him. Change for the sake of change is what I'm looking at. They could let one of the bat boys manage for all I care.
  20. Not saying it isn't true or isn't going to happen that way; but it seems like an awful way to make any personnel decision (sports or otherwise). "You better produce this week, or else!" Someone either belongs in their job or doesn't. There's been a year+ body of work to make an assessment from--why would a weekend series in Minnesota make a difference? I don't see it as "You better produce this week, or else!", I see it as the straw that would break the camel's back. If they get swept, that would be a 1-12 stretch in their last 13 games.
  21. Wow, you took the words right out of my mouth. This has been sad to watch lately. Something needs to happen soon.
  22. Got a couple for Strasburg, a few of Heyward and Castro, but nothing earth shattering. A couple of refractors /25 and some autos of players I haven't heard of; might just have to try another box perhaps. Nice looking cards though. It's cool to go back through past years sets and find players who are making an impact this year though.
  23. Coming from Madison, I love knowing that I'll always get to see a game. Don't know what they were thinking up 'dere.
  24. I like this idea. Don't know if it would ever happen, but it would be cool. As a casual basketball fan (more of a fan of college), I wouldn't go out of my way to buy Bucks tickets, but if there was a package deal, I would be intrigued.
