  1. It was a 2-2 count so now you just sound silly. Considering that Weeks has struck out 28 times in 73 AB's is it really that silly? I'm not so sure.... Maybe a little.
  2. If I was Segura I would be smelling a possible contract extension right about now.
  3. Yes we do have a team option for very cheap next year for 1.5 Million, the crazy thing he is arbitration eligible after next year and we can retain his rights for 3 more years if we want to. Highway robbery if you ask me. Especially considering his age.
  4. Our bullpen is really good guys. 3 pitches with the strike out. I like.
  5. Horrible 3rd strike call on Weeks. I'm not trying to defend weeks here, but that wasn't close at all.
  6. If anybody still thinks the Brewers shouldn't extend Segura "tomorrow" look at what he just did.
  7. Thank god Weeks is out of there. This likely also means that Segura will stay in the 2 hole when Ramirez gets back.
  8. Lucroy is a much better option for batting clean up and yes that mean people saying take Weeks and bat him further down in the order have a very legitimate point. It's been proven also that Weeks isn't clutch and that's another legit reason to take him out of the 4 spot. Nothing knee jerking about it. It's common sense at this point.
  9. I'm going to flat out disagree with you. Gomez is getting better and better every year and his ceiling is sky high. Schafer is a good backup OF. His value is off the bench, which he's been really good at.
  10. $60 last year. I gave you odds after you called me out on using hyperbole. Segura is a much better hitter than Weeks at this point, so I will gladly bet you on the above though. How about $50, even up, whoever has a higher OPS by the end of the year. 350 AB min. I have Segura, you have Weeks. I will take that bet as well. Put me down for $50.00 on Segura should he stay in the 2 hole.
  11. I love Geroge Webbs!! I eat there before every Brewers game. It's tradition.
  12. Wild card?? My sights are on the Division. Imagine this line-up with Ramirez and Hart and it's the best in baseball hands down. The bullpen is just lights out with three pitchers that can hit 97MPH, and perhaps another one on the way with Olmsted, not to mention an improving stable starting rotation. Wild card is an afterthought right now.
  13. OMG now another one bites the dust. What the hell!! I can't take this anymore..
  14. As long as someone saw the ball bounce to the left the laws of physics dictate no review was necesary No it should have been reviewed to see if it hit the foul poll.
  15. No they were wrong there's a white dent in the foul pol from that crushed ball from Gomez.
  16. If you want to see a good comparison for a probable pre-arby deal for a SS like Segura look no further than Alcedes Escobar, Starlin Castro, and JJ Hardy. Alcedes Escobar (look at his pre arby salary's and his Arby salary's, and that's likely the range for Segura.) JJ Hardy, (look at his FA salary and that's likely what Segura will get max, Hardy has power and has a recent history of hitting 20-30 HR's, yet he's making only 7.5 million) Look at Starlin Castros contract and you will see what we will have to pay Segura in a year and a half from now, and compare that to if we signed him in the next month, before he knows what he's capable of, so that way he will sign the contract just because of the guaranteed millions of dollars, which is a lot more than what he's making right now pre-arby at $492K.) Thecrew07, I'm going to disagree with you slightly. Not only will there be significant savings in his free agency years by doing a pre-arby deal, but also in his Arbitration years as well. Remember it's a pre arby deal.
