  1. I'd switch Gomez and Gonzalez in the line-up.
  2. If the Brewers can profit from development around Miller Park should they decide to do so, then they can make money on the parking. They have say.
  3. Actually, not true. Take Braun out of this equation here, because it will never happen. Now if you included Gallardo or even a number 2 pitcher as the main piece of the trade or another top hitter on the team, and then threw in a bunch of high potential average players with hardly any service time, it would net him. It's not really a quantity over quality type of trade, but rather a quantity mix type of trade. That would do it.
  4. I have never once seen Carlos Gomez "trot" the bases. Yeah, full speed ahead!
  5. Whenever I go golfing and I really need to go to the bathroom I just adapt and take a walk in the woods and go, because I'm sure as heck not going all the way back to the club house. Bring a few bottles with you, take a deep breath, relax and go.
  6. Oh my gosh... This thread is getting hilarious. I hear Fresh Step cat litter crystals is the way to go. It costs a few dollars more, but worth it in the end.
  7. Narveson to the bullpen. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/200659321.html
  8. I don't know if this was reported yet, but Logan Schafer will be on the Brewers bench. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/brewers-will-use-schafer-to-cover-the-outfield-as-backup-q59ac14-200152791.html
  9. They should just go back to the retro 1982 ball and glove logo full time and call it quits. That's the best MLB uniform of all time. Hands down. Plus more Brewers fans buy that one than the new one anyways.
  10. To anybody thinking that Fiers will make the rotation over Peralta read the following, http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/200295071.html Peralta is in the rotation to start the season and will pitch in the 3rd game.
  11. I'm still trying to figure out if he's being serious or if this is typical GM Doug Melvin talk. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/200101321.html
  12. Mark Kotsay?
  13. I'm anxious to see Yuni B lift that big fat first pitch. His pop ups are beautiful. Usually on the first pitch too. I'll never forget it.
  14. So much for this joke.
  15. Ennder, You obviously haven't been paying attention to what's been happening late last season and in spring training. Peralta hasn't had control problems lately. In 15.2 IP this spring he has only given up 4 BB. Even in the Majors in his starts last season he showed good control and ability to limit the damage by pitching 6-8IP in 3 of his 5 starts, and really only having 1 bad start out of 5. Fiers has given up 8 BB and 29 Hits in 19IP and has obviously been off, and RR has stated publicly that Fiers isn't hitting his spots and locating, which Fiers HAS to do to be effective, because he can't hit 98 MPH like Peralta can to get out of trouble. By the way, Fiers has had the worst spring when you compare him to Peralta. His last 2 starts have been terrible. If Fiers has another bad start I believe it's pretty obvious that he will be sent to AAA Nashville to work on things. That's just how much he is off his game right now.
  16. It is likely the end for Rogers. Most likely Peralta will start in AAA and they will play wait and see with Narveson and Fiers and that is probably the proper move. If Peralta isn't in the rotation to start the season that is a HUGE mistake, and I'm rarely upset, but this will force me to be. Peralta is more of a sure thing than Fiers and the ceiling is much higher. It only makes sense to have Peralta in the rotation. Fiers should be sent to AAA.
  17. Exactly. I don't get all of the negative overreaction by half of the poster here.
  18. Good. This gives them flexibility should they need to make a mid-season move to improve the ball club.
  19. If we get 2 years out of Lohse where he pitches 180+ IP with a 3.50-4.10 ERA this is a good deal for the Brewers. Lohse is a different pitcher than he was a few years ago, because as someone else mentioned before he doesn't throw a regular fastball anymore, but rather throws a sinker now 40% of the time and has had tons of success because of it. He's a very smart pitcher that will pitch 6-7 innings every time he goes on the mound and that all you can ask from a SP on a team that has the top offense in baseball. I'm in favor of this signing and I completely understand it.
  20. Brewers fans drink a lot during all the games, so that's nothing new or something that only happens on opening day. I've been to the last 5 opening days at Miller Park and honestly it's my favorite game of the regular season other than playoff games, which I've been too. The fans are loud and are really into the game compared to others despite a good portion being intoxicated. What else would you expect from a sell out drunk crowd of 42,000-43,000 fans? Some advice, As one poster mentioned show up to Miller park a day to two early to purchase parking in advance. This is important. It might be a couple dollars cheaper too. Show up extra early. They will open the parking lot earlier I believe so to secure a spot show up early. Tailgate. This is the best part other than a win. Brewers fans are awesome fans, though they have some room for improvement noise wise (could be louder). Look at the Brewers fans from the late 70's-80's as proof. Just enjoy yourself man and have a blast. Baseball is the best sport in the world.
  21. Then how did the press get their hands on some of those documents?
  22. The Reds should have made him a starting pitcher years ago. They made a huge mistake with him.
  23. Why in the world would the Brewers move Braun back to 3B? I'm so confused right now and it's way too early for this.
  24. Who is going to take who to court is the million dollar question.
  25. Peralta's ability to get over that mid season huge bump in the road last season should be all the proof you need that he's ready for a real shot in the Brewers Major League rotation. He's the 1 other pitcher besides Gallardo that I'm not concerned about.
