  1. Take weeks out of the #4 spot because he's not clutch, he's declining as a hitter, he needs to be in a spot that requires the batter to get on base via walks and not really by hitting his way on, like the 8th spot, and do it to ease my suffering before and during game time. It's torture to have a batter batting clean up and sucking at it majorly when he's not even supposed to be there in the first place. Do it before the next game.
  2. That pitcher should have challenged Braun on the 1-2 count. I knew when he didn't that Braun would take advantage.
  3. The Brewers offense is going to be tops in the NL this season, and perhaps tops in MLB. When Ramirez and Hart come back look out!
  4. We have low expectations for Carlos Gomez, compared to Rickie Weeks.
  5. All these games of Rickie Weeks batting clean-up and I'm really surprised this board hasn't created a thread about it.
  6. Actually Melvin tends to take hard throwers and hope they get over their control issues. Hence Turnbow, Axford to some extent (injury had a lot to do with his issues), and Henderson. The guys that don't have control issues are really hard to find. Based on history you are correct. This is why since we have found one that can throw strikes he must be favored.
  7. I believe everyone in baseball favors the pitcher you just described, because he is Mariano Rivera in his prime. That last part was funny. Anyways, you are correct that everyone in baseball favors that type of pitcher, which is why I believe Olmsted is favored above Mike Gonzalez, Gorzelanny, and Bradenhop.
  8. Man, I hope Burgos is the god pitcher we've been looking for. We could use another one of those.
  9. Olmsted to Milwaukee is inevitable. It's not a matter of if, but when. I pointed this out a few days ago that Olmsted should be called up. At some point there might be an injury to a relief pitcher, a relief pitcher might struggle, a trade will happen, and at that point he will be called up. Right now our bullpen has stabilized over the last few games, but I suspect that wont last and someone will go through a rough patch. For the record, I truly believe that DM favors hard throwers like Olmsted who can hit mid-upper 90's and who have a long history with no control issues, who don't walk many and who strike out a ton. This is why I believe it's inevitable.
  10. Turbo, Henderson is more than capable of saving 49 games based on what I have seen. Just give him the lead heading into the 9th. Watch out Brewers fans we've found another good closer.
  11. That is debatable... Who steals in that situation? Nice win Crew! Henderson knows how to pitch, he can throw strikes with all of his pitches at any time, his fastball can hit mid-upp 90's "with movement, which is key" > than Axford.
  12. We have a really good new closer guys. Henderson is better than Axford at his best.
  13. Henderson throwing 97 mph? Wow.. Hardest he's thrown all year.
  14. Weeks is so bad right now that I would bench him and make him hit batting practice for a few games and give 2B to Scooter Gennett.
  15. Axfords velocity is WAY down. 94 mph and as low as 92.
  16. This is going to get interesting with Axford on the mound.
  17. Of course. This is Weeks basically saying that he can still be productive should he draw a walk, which is about all he's good for right now, which he knows that, and one of his main reasons why he's productive. My response to this is Segura is looking much better in Weeks spot in the 2 hole and Weeks needs to start getting used to batting somewhere behind Ramirez in the order, and start hitting to get on base. Walks are only so good for so long.
