  1. I hoped you knocked on wood. I am still happy with 3/4.
  2. BCU, I still wouldn't feel comfortable asking for the Brewers to sweep the next two (barring a huge letdown tonight).
  3. Can't be good, Tenni is rushing to rub him down a nd get out the knots.
  4. Sheets's stuff looks good through 2. Braun hacking doesn't help.
  5. Phillies and Marlins lose. Mets won. Dodgers winning. Diamondback losing.
  6. In response to a CC shift, he could bunt to the third base side if that was the case.
  7. If Randall Simon's bat tap is ticket worthy then so should this. I am of the opinion that neither should be though.
  8. I am sure Colorado fans were expecting a sweep as well...
  9. If I had to rank them.... 1) Driver 2) Fielder 3) Rodgers (I really think so) 4) Braun 5) Redd 6) Bo Ryan 7) Sheets 8) Al Harris 9) AJ Hawk 10) Sabathia
  10. A quote from Moneyball regarding Billy Beane (Considered very talented but a bust by most) that may be used in conjunction with Weeks.... "The guy believes in his talent. What he doesn't believe in is himself. He sees himself exclusively in his statistics. If his stats are bad, he has zero self worth. He has never developed a coping mechanism because he's never had anything to cope with." I could see Weeks being this guy. A guy who is needs to see success in order to have success and when things don't go his way he has a hard time getting back on the horse. What these types of players need are 1) More seasoning in the minors where they can gain confidence with their great numbers and 2) A good manager that understands that they can't be pulled at the first sign of trouble and will work with them. How do we get the most from Rickie? I think letting him work through his troubles till he gets to the point where he is confident that every at-bat will work out for him nor is it the end of the world if he makes an out. Though that may not be the best for the team in 2008 I really believe that Rickie will be an All-Star and it would be a shame for him to be that somewhere else.
  11. Mets/Marlins won.
  12. A couple of games of note... SD @ NY FL @ PHI LAD @ STL ATL @ ARI Plus the Nationals have to play two in Colorado before coming to Milwaukee.
  13. It would be awesome to clinch a berth but if needs be I am ok with sending CC out for 20 Innings on the last day and not have him for the playoffs.
  14. Joe Madden on tonights Sportscenter said this (paraphrased), "The more your group wants to win the better the chance of winning." Now the question is do you believe in that and if so does Ned Yost and his staff create the type of atmosphere that breeds confidence and success. I believe that a Coach's pep talk means squat but the demeanor that he brings to the locker room does have an impact. Again, these can be opinions only as their could never be statistical evidence to hback any of it up.
  15. Another solid road trip. Hooray.
  16. Good news is that the Nats may have to play two tomorrow before coming to Milwaukee if the game gets postponed tonight.
  17. Brewers gain on the Mets and Marlins tonight (and more than likely the Dodgers).
  18. We control our own destiny as well as the Cardinals based on the two games we have with them still therefore I root for the Cubs.
  19. Stat boy didn't catch the error even.
  20. What I would like would be 5-2 (3-1 against Was and 2-1 against SD) but 4-3 wouldn't be the end of the world nor would 3-4 though it would be disappointing.
  21. His coming back to his old form (or a close variation) could be as big as trading for a big name reliever ala Leiny from last year.
