  1. Don't go into the IGT if you are a fan of Soup. The hate was bordering on crazy levels today. Anytime we get a great start like today from Soup I consider that great news because I see Parra fading down the stretch as he gets into uncharted innings. Same goes with Bush. The man I want back is Sheets though he hasn't been bad he doesn't really seem to have the stuff of a NL All-Star starter at this point and time.
  2. Soup isn't awful, he's average. Anyone expecting more is doomed for disappointment.
  3. Not the lineup I was hoping for as I would have liked JJ in there today.
  4. That's a lot of damn, dirty apes.
  5. Skippy ends it, to the 11th we go.
  6. To extras we go....
  7. And Skippy comes back with a single.
  8. Come September, maybe Gamel will get a call up for a start or two or could become another LH off the bench. As for as a "Quality AB" I actually do believe in these. It means that maybe they will move the runner over or make the pitcher work. Sometimes it not only about OPS and HRs.
  9. Bailey did give up 2ER in 5+ IP last time against the Brewers and that may have been his best start. I would take that as a worst case scenerio (of course that's not for sure).
  10. The numbers look very nice for the Diamondbacks but it's always a scary thing to lock up a pitcher long term with big money.
  11. Carpenter made his return tonight and looked good (going by stats). This could be a huge "acqusition" for the Cardinals down the stretch but I would have to imagine that he couldn't go more than 5/6 or pitch more than 90 pitches coming off the huge operation.
  12. Echo, echo, echo.... Good game tonight, I had a good feeling going in about it. I think if Soup goes 6 and gives up 4 or less the Brewers will win tomorrow. Homer Bailey's stats haven't been too great this year.
  13. From Wikipedia... Mea culpa is a Latin phrase that translates into English as "my fault", or "my own fault". In order to emphasize the message, the adjective "maxima" may be inserted, resulting in "mea maxima culpa," which would translate as "my most [grievous] fault."
  14. Advantage Brewers! I like our chances.
  15. When JJ was screaming at Prince it looked a little like Prince attempted to come after him to. It could easily be Prince just trying to get up but who knows.
  16. I understand that the Brewers will still be in good position after this game win or lose but the team just doesn't seem right at all. It's like they are all a bunch of headcases that have the mindset of a bunch of 8 year olds when things aren't going their way.
  17. Cubs down 2-0 to the dreaded Brian Moeller.
  18. I have no problems with the lineup. I would love to see Branyan in there but oh well, all we can ask is that CC gives some good at bats.
