  1. yikes. 1 pitch has come remotely close to the zone. come on, get Davannon
  2. well, no chance for Tbow to save it. Still, kind of worried w/Kolb now. At least the top of our order leads off the bottom of the 9th. come on Kolb, let's go 1-2-3.
  3. Conor Jackson, aka, the better, right-handed version of Lyle Overbay.
  4. Rickie about 10 feet shy of the party area. A nice drive, but they had Shawn Green playing deep.
  5. Lee's shot was about 4 feet foul. Tom Brenneman, the moment it left the bat, said "and the Brewers will have the lead" Sounded a lot better than it actually flew.
  6. nice outing for Jorge. He actually commanded his pitches well, not hanging a changeup or curve. Looked sharp. Also, it appears he's scrapped the windup
  7. also, I should mention that Hardy's third AB, he lined out to CF. But the ball was one of the hardest hit balls we've seen. Tough day so far for Weeks, as I don't think he's hit one more than about 10 feet.
  8. how does he look in the field? I know he was a gold glove calibre 3B for the Twins but most Blue Jay fans said he had really lost it defensively last year and had problems with the throws to 1B he's looked great. Some very tough hops. His only bad throw was because he lobbed one to first cause the pitcher was out by 20 feet. Also, Prince with 2 or 3 very good digs tonight, and that Weeks-Hardy-Fielder DP was a highlight reel caliber DP
  9. okay, Rickie and Prince are gonna get us another run. figure early in the game, Hart or Gross is the pinch hitter.
  10. Lee got 1 back with almost the exact same cueshot single that Easley had. got the first on the board, now to hold them and let Prince go to work
  11. Jenkins has 7 strikouts this year, same as Fielder. I think that's being overlooked Mad Hatter 610...I mentioned that Jenkins is starting off slowly in terms of driving the ball, but he's hitting .353 in the early going. And as for comparing his K's and Fielders, I think most of us expect that in a full season, Jenkins will strikeout around 140-150 times, Fielder 120-135. It's not like the strikeouts are a shocker
  12. hopefully Clark gets it going soon. He's had a really slow week. Lots of routine outs. Jenkins has done alright, considering he's mainly gotten soft liner hits. Everyone else has done fine
  13. Davis will likely settle down and get us through 6 innings. Need some hits and walks this inning. What scares me is that we beat up Webb in Spring training, the only team to do anything off him. He's a dominant pitcher, and I don't know if we can do it twice in a month.
  14. Dbacks announcing crew just said that they hear Sheets is expected to be activated tomorrow. Of course, that would make no sense, as he wouldn't be starting at the earliest until Wednesday. And with the rotation doing fine, they should be careful.
  15. Prince caught napping. Replay inconclusive, so the ump most likely was correct
  16. the dbacks broadcast wasn't showing a radar gun in the top of the first. He seemed to really be bringing it...did the Milwaukee feed had a gun reading?
  17. what about a support group for those of us that are eternally single?
  18. an update for you folks. Through 2 complete, West Virginia is up 2-0 Through 1 1/2, Brevard County is up 4-0
  19. Interesting to see Josh Murray at 1st base. I know he had a power surge last year, but hopefully he gets it going, because most of us have been weary of him for a while also, it's interesting to note that White is starting against Sheets tonight. and before I head to the chatroom, gotta say that it's pretty sweet to see the first run of the year in the minors scored on a double steal.
  20. Fielder w/3 hits tonight, Weeks and Lee with jacks, Hardy goes 2-4 with a double and a walk
  21. and I will bet anyone 1 bajillion dollars that he does not keep that up over 400 AB's. so mothership, my $1 vs your 1 bajillion dollars? I'm in
  22. ...post early in the in-game thread about the benefits to the site to becoming an EZsupporter. The page views are through the roof right now, and it seems those dominating the in-game threads are not EZ supporters. Just a suggestion.
  23. so Kolb not keeping it down. He's not showing that great slider from '03. He needs to either get the sinker going, or go back to '03 throwing 97 with a tight slider
  24. Yost will likely play Corey for a while. Weeks played like 25 games before getting a day off. I think he likes doing that w/rookies. Maybe with a lefty tomorrow though Good to see Capellan's velocity back in the '04 range, where his A-ball trainer told me he never once averaged below 95 mph in a game.
