  1. is 3TO becoming 4TO? An Evolution to the Revolution has occured
  2. Got any lottery numbers? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5--the combination an idiot has on his luggage
  3. way to go scoop. I should also mention my Dbacks fan buddy said that Lee would hit a 2b in the first, then homer later in the game, we'll see if it happens
  4. so I was wondering, with no Craig Counsell, will we see any catcher's interferences this year?
  5. it's kind of annoying that mlb.com's gamecast is about 4 pitches ahead of Ueck. Sometimes they lineup perfectly
  6. so where are two of the OBP boys, Festa and Rasheed?
  7. Eveland better be starting, or else that squad might need to play 5 inning games.
  8. batman, were Jenkins, Cirillo, and Moeller (and anyone else) there at the same time?
  9. I'd love a 4 man rotation if we had 4 horses. But we have two, and there exists a possibility that both may have been career years last year. We just don't have the staff for it
  10. okay, wound up making it to the game. Defense was terrible. How did we make zero errors? My defensive miscues notes: -Hall boots sharp ball to backhand side once again because he fails to slide infront of it. -Hall charges nicely, but bobbles ball, only getting one out on the play (Hardy would have had DP) -Hart with the two miscues in RF. In defense of the first one, he got the out at 2nd. For the second, there was a breeze, but any of us would have caught it. Needs to focus better or something. -Hart and Weeks with a miscue. In fairness, it was a blooper in no-man's land with a breeze. -Weeks with ball through his legs cause he didn't get glove down. other thoughts: -Hart has a cannon in RF. Arm probably as good or better than Jenkins. Must be back to 100% -Cirillo looks in great shape, some great throws. -Magruder still looks awkward on balls. One hit to left to lead off their rally, he started in, stopped, then waited, then ran in to field it. We'll never know if it was catchable -Fielder runs well, Weeks flies, and Krynzel can't be thrown out on bunt attempts. -In the ill-fated bottom of the 8th, my count was that Adams/Phelps had to earn 7 outs to get out of the inning. -Hall with 2 hits on balls to RF....he should never try to go to left. -why oh why won't teams pitch to Prince??? He's homered in 3 of the 4 games I've been to. -someone running to first in the 9th or 8th (I think Weeks) was called out at 1st, but beat it by a step. Absolutely terrible call that had the fans booing. Also, Davis appeared to pick off two guys at first, but was hosed by the ump. -Lee, Jenkins, and Magruder with nice hits.
  11. sounds like he's the kind of guy you love to have in the clubhouse. Good guy, hard worker, has earned everything he's got. Could be a great influence for some of his teammates, and who knows, maybe he'll learn to walk and hit a bit
  12. haha- I don't have to worry about sunburn or sweating while outside and the flu isn't that bad well, won't have to worry about sun tonight, the sun will be down by the first pitch. Should be in the low-60s tonigh at game-time. As for the flu, I've been sicker in AZ than I ever was in WI or CA. Don't know how, but it's harder to avoid colds and the flu
  13. I'll be there tonight...should be nice
  14. I'm hoping this is the year we finally have a competent #8 hitter actually, to spin that a different way...I see us as not having a #8 hitter in our opening day lineup. I fully expect Hardy to evolve into a 2-3 hitter, so it's a lot stronger than having a true 8 hitter
  15. thanks a lot Toby. Fast game! As for Helms, Branyan is sick AND they are considering a platoon, so shouldn't they play Wes against the tough lefties like Rueter.
  16. Thanks Brian. This goes under my question the other day of how to contribute to the site best. I've done my first part. Next time the warchest is up I'll do some more. And I'll check out the store again soon. I appreciate everything you guys do.
  17. and the difference between being a solid AAA reliever and MLB reliever isn't that great (Lehr). Plus, Kieschnick has done a fine job in his 2 years.
  18. that was crazy today. Uribe's flyball should have landed about 30 feet short of the wall, not 30 feet over. I swore Lee was hit in the ribs. I am worried since he was pushing two umpires. Fielder was very patient. Hardy with a nice double. Spivey with a couple hits. Moeller with the stupidest out at the plate in history. He may be the slowest man in baseball, but the catcher dropped the ball. He jogged up next to the plate, stopped, and then realized when the Catcher tagged him, that he didn't have the ball. so he casually reached his foot for the plate and the pitcher (backing up the play) tagged him first
  19. I know pogo said last week he'd be there today, and I'll be there today if the rains hold off. On one hand I'm disappointed I keep seeing Santos and Hendrickson, but at the same time it's nice because these are the 2 guys that most were weary of entering spring training. Last time I was there, Santos did alright. Didn't look great, but got the job done.
  20. It's not just fanball saying it, either. okay, I see there's more if I scroll down...I just saw the first two. rotoworld mlb.com today describing the difference for Crawford between LF and CF...no mention of back to LF I have yet to read a quote that is from Piniella, so until then I'm assuming the original plan is that Sanchez is considered a possible starter unless they land someone else.
  21. fanball speculating one thing, rotoworld and mlb.com speculating the other
  22. wasn't Bradley out for the year with Tommy John surgery? or was I thinking of Harper
  23. Read the latest. They're moving Crawford over to left and putting Sanchez in CF What I'm reading is Crawford is moving to CF and Sanchez to a corner so that his poor defense would be minimized
  24. Two words: Alex Sanchez He's in RF this year, so sorry
