    And to think we could have had Nimmo, Herrera and TDA for Lucroy instead of Brinson and Ortiz. Sadistic side in me...what I wouldn't have given though to hear Alderson cry about Brewer vengeance had they nixed a trade with the Mets because of Nimmo's failed physical.

    They would have just gone for Sale at that point. Honestly I think Sale would've cost them Mazara, Gallo, Brinson...and any deal with Mazara was a none starter.

    To be honest, a Lucroy and Jeffress deal I thought would have been Gallo, Brinson and maybe a lesser SP. Color me a little underwhelmed, but very happy with this deal versus the Cleveland trade.

    Wow...this is just unreal. Susac looks to be an adequate replacement too. Career .260/.360/.794 hitter in the minors for a 26 year old. Wonder about his D.

    I am getting the impression the Brewers-Rangers have a deal in place IF the Rangers cannot find a SP (Sale, Archer, Moore, etc...). Furthermore, I believe the Brewers-?? have a deal in place in the event the Rangers are able to acquire that SP. I am guessing some of the same players (Gallo) are being used as the trade bait for those SP and that is the priority at this point. If it's the Rangers, this will go until 11:59.

    The Mets are officially going to be the least liked team by all teams in the NL Central. With the Cardinals in the division, that simply is dumbfounding.

    I second this. Grabbing talent should be the entire focus. However, I also hated the Cleveland trade and am glad Lucroy rejected it. The issue I had with the Cleveland package was the level at which the other prospects were at. Look I get that they could be waiting to burst into the Top 100 or so prospects, but for a proven commodity like Lucroy, who is in the discussion for best catcher in baseball, I want much more known prospects and ones that have been producing at higher levels of the minors. That is just my opinion.

    Lead a Lucroy to Rangers deal with Gallo and I will be happy...

    To trade for guys that will be up this year or next seems a waste since we are bad this year and are probably bad next year. Plus we can get more if we go loer in the minors for players. Sure but the risk is real then. You want to deal Lucroy for players that may hit Or pitch well at A ball but will that translate to AA or AAA? For Lucroy, I would much prefer to have players who have performed at the higher levels than the lower levels regardless of when the rebuild is supposed to be in its Final stages.

    Bottom line is a trade including Gallo or Brinson is exciting and real. A trade for players 4-6 years away for the best catcher in Brewers history seems like an unnecessary risk.

    I won't get my hopes up for the return that we all speculated earlier, meaning no Gallo, Brinson, etc...

    Question is... If you're Stearns and the best offer is the Mets offer (TDA, Nimmo, 3rd piece), do you accept or hold Lucroy until the winter? Not sure what I am feeling today.
