  1. I’m sure the PCL leauge will start to put pressure on the city of San Antonio at some point ,so I’m that worried about the stadium issues, more if the Brewers will be there long enough to enjoy it .
  2. Could be a good move by the Brewers having some leverage holding both the rookie team and tripe A team with the same ownership group and a long working relationship.
  3. Down to Nashville, San Antonio and Fresno. With by all accounts Nashville highly unlikely.
  4. Fresno did not want to separate from the Astros the Astros want to go to Round Rock ,and the Sky Sox’s are relocating to San Antonio.
  5. Was reading a column about minor leauge fans the Grizzlies scored very high on fan support seems like Fresno supports baseball well.
  6. They actually just did a pretty big rennovation a couple years ago. Fox cites is a very good A ball facility, the upper level indoor outdoor seating is a class act, food and drink is top notch.
  7. Thames is bating one eighteen snice July 31st horrid defense (seeing most time in the outfield) maybe he’s out ?
  8. . Of course that will play into it especially the Cubs with all their left handed pitching , but still going to be interested to see how it shapes out .
  9. Assuming the Brewers make the playoffs and with some of these late season Acquisitions Playing well who’s on your playoff roster ? And who do you leave off?
  10. Boy the way some of these late season pick ups like Granderson are playing it going to be damn hard to come up with 25 man roster for the playoffs.
  11. Does it really matter where rookie ball is? Yes CS is not ideal, but its a nice ballpark with better facilities than anywhere in rookie ball by a mile. Wisconsin and Carolina would give the brewers a good indication of the players ability, and they can still get accumulated to pro ball in a pretty nice park. I wouldn't mind staying in CS. Your probably right on does it matter points ,maybe more in the mind type problem then actual issue. It has such a reputation of being a beast to pitch in and hitters have more power then they should or would any where else that there’s probably more fear factor of picking up bad habits then anything else.
  12. You would think the Rockies would have a keen interest in the sky Sox at the rookie level, lose to home easy to use for rehab etc .
  13. The Nationals in Nashville feels like a strong possibility, though it's not anything they can finalize until late September. Agreed how ever we both know an agreement can be made privately and then “finalized “ in September.
  14. During the Nationals game ( pre game ) they talked about their minor leauge affiliations ,they expect Nashville to be their AAA team next year ,talked about how they expect something to be finalized soon.
  15. Any internet message board has knuckleheads, it's easy to be one under the anonymity of the internet. Thankfully BF.net has very few...but not zero. Don't listen to the naysayers, the vast majority of us are eagerly awaiting your every post as the primary flame to our hot stove. Keep it up, and don't worry about the annoying posts that have, and inevitably will continue to occasionally come. Just want to point out a few things I have noticed. I use to be a regular poster here a few years back things changed I left the board since I have returned ( just recently) things have changed a lot and not all for the good , it seems like any time some posts something it gets picked to crap ....... why would anyone in their right mind want to post anything on here, and that’s sad that we are going to lose a good person who is trying to share what he hears or picks up which for rumors and inside information has been fairly accurate....... they are called rumors for a reason folks . Let’s get one thing straight we are all brewer fans here. And any one who passes along information in this section should be treated with respect .
  16. It’s to the point you need Six starters Available at a moments notice In MLB ....by the time Nelson comes back so someone will have soreness tried arm or just plain ineffective you can never have enough MLB ready arms and issues of to many arms in the spring seems to always work them selfs out.
  17. Not even on the stove in fact still in the freezer LOL
  18. We have enough Corbin types all ready (minus left handed) I would pass No room for a rental in the budget.
  19. Because starting pitching is more valuable? We've got back of the bullpen options. Hader and Knebel are going to be lights out. We need better starting pitching so we don't have to overuse the back of the bullpen like we did last year. We can add relief options at the deadline to bolster what we already have. At the moment, starting pitching should be a bigger priority. At the moment, Hader/Suter/Gallardo/Burnes are our 5th starter. With the moves they've made, it doesn't make sense to enter the season without an established 5th guy. Let Woodruff be our question mark, we need someone better to lead the rotation. As of now, it's mostly mid-back end guys to go with a very strong offense. You add bull pen arms at the deadline you tend to have to over pay big time. I think Hader needs to be in the starting rotation so I do not see him as an option in the pen and frankly I see the staring pitching as a stronger unit then the bull pen (with Hader in the mix)as of right now.The game has changed so much with pitch limits injuries etc that in my view the bull pen needs to be a higher priority the the starting rotation.just my view.
  20. To me I see getting a couple high end bull pen arms shut down the 7th 8 and 9th and with the offense we have your going to win a lot of games .The way teams have to over pay for starters why get under value for Santana?
  21. Got to think Yelichs power numbers take a huge jump playing half his games at miler park and not in Miami. A lot to give up but it may be wroth it
  22. That info seems dated as just yesterday they said the Brewers were the first "serious offer" they've received and that offer reportedly went out on Tuesday. HH19 say's it's going to sting. All signs point to it being a substantial offer that they are seriously considering. Was on MLB s show this morning 10 ish is when I seen it
  23. In a little blurb on the MLB hot stove it sounded like Miami was not thrilled with any offers they have received for Yelich as of yet ........ but of course they are going to say that in an effort to get teams to up there offers ......in all my years of being a baseball fan I have never heard were a team ups there offer because someone goes on tv or radio and says they need more to make a deal LOL
  24. Simple when in rebuild mode get all the arms you can ,you can always trade for hitting small market teams must develop their pitching .
  25. I’m all for giving up some of our prospects to get Yelich as long as it’s position players. After all is said in done we’re making this move to strengthen our pitching with other movers as a result of this trade. In the end we are always going to be a team that must develop pitching in the minors there’s no way we can ever compete with the big money clubs for top of the market pitching, unless there is a hard cap which we all know will not happen. Never give up your pitching prospects for position players.
