  1. Yeah heard he was playing in a softball torment in Arpin and Auburndale over the weekend.
  2. From his hometown ,was the most down to earth kid i ever seen never got a big head always worked his butt off both in high school and at Stevens Point team always came 1st. Was pretty much unhittable in high school.
  3. I realize how hard it is to develop pitching but small market teams must consider everything to sustain success and right now our lack of depth is being exposed. The lineup is a joke and the minor league system has nothing even close to changing that fact. Again it’s great having two aces but it’s also no fun watching this team struggle to score any runs at all. I am not even saying we should move either of our aces but we should be willing to listen on everyone if the right offer is out there. Something has to be done about this lineup and no one should be off limits. As the Brewers are showing you can have lack of depth in hitting and you can still compete with strong pitching ,however it much harder to compete with strong hitting and weak pitching .IMO for all teams but especially small market teams it starts with developing your own starting pitching and you do not part with it once you have it.
  4. Its simple answer what normally cost the most to aquire through trade ?.... top of the rotation pitching (if you can even get someone to trade with)and its not even close ,so we have it and no way in God's green earth should we trade any of our young core of pitchers. You can find hitters to help your team at the deadline but those that have good starting pitching keep it as long as they can .
  5. Look the bottom line is Hader is still a Brewer because the Brewers have no reason to trade him unless they get more value then he worth to them .what his trade value is to the Brewers is all that matters and if no team meets or exceeds that value then he stays, now maybe that value changes in the next couple of years as he gets more and more expensive ,but for now its pay up or he stays small market teams have to have that kind of mindset, they can't out bid the LA s of the world for free agents so players under there control have to bring max value in trade or they become the next Pittsburgh.
  6. Yeah I think Wahl will earn alot of frequent flyer miles from Nashville to Milwaukee and back. Milwaukee loves to use pitchers with an option to there advantage, which has usual worked well for the Brewers. Basically gives them a extra man on the roster.
  7. This year especially multiply innings arms are going to be a top priority. With the short season last year starters innings will be limited this year more then any other .Milwaukee may have a advantage having managed this way for most of the Counsel years. I really like our pen and pitching as a whole. On a different note not a fan of this roll the inning thing . I get it its spring traning but it seems like another step to the participating trophy society in sports.

  9. Looks like we are going to have limited power in the infield. Hope are pitching holds up or its going to be a long year in brewervile
  10. 1 Herbert Perez of 2 Garrett Mitchell of 3 Freddy Zamora.ss 5. Aaron Ashby. Sp 6. Max Lazer sp 7. I really love last years draft ,our pitching is getting better and deeper each year. Edit. I had a player who is not eligible so took him out ,just move everyone up one please.
  11. How do you think he will be fine at 1st? He is undersized for the position plus all his other defensive liabilities and you looking at a black hole.
  12. All the 2b zips comparisons are great ....we are looking good at 2nd base . But are two biggest concerns 3rd and 1st are still the black holes they have been .unless there is pending trade can't not see how on such a limited budget this helps us.
  13. Hiura is going to be starting in 2021 ... whether it be for the Brewers, or some other team. I agree he a starter but where on this team , I don't belive he can play 1st there is no dh if you sign Wong to start at 2nd I just don't see where he plays
  14. My issue is not so much with the player its need vs money .all we heard all off season was its going to be tight etc etc so we overpay at postion thats loaded already and no I do not belive Hirua can play 1st base In fact I think thats a disaster waiting to happen..so how did we improve? We raised our payroll and even though wong may play everyday I don't belive we gained a starter because now someone's got to sit at a postion with to many players
  15. For a team ( all small market teams) that basically depends on gate revenue to compete there just is no to very tiny room to add payroll. Until we get fans back in seats on a consistent basis, the divide between the spending may be the largest we have seen in modern baseball. You see it in what the big spenders are offering in the forum of prospects back ,to the very limited action for free agents. We know the great divide in revenue is never going to be addressed in the upcoming negotiations between the union and owners. It is what it is . And the upper Midwest teams in particular will just have to buckle down and ride out the strom.
  16. If you acquire Contreras no way do you do it for him to be your 1B. He's got a very high end bat for a catcher and a dime a dozen bat for a 1B. Not saying you never play him anywhere else but if you're trading for Contreras it's definitely for him to be your primary catcher. Which is exactly my point for what we would have to give up its a pass for me. If I'm going to pay the price for a middle of the order bat in a leauge that does not have a dh then it better be a player that can play with just the normal time off not that required for a catchers.
  17. No way I want anything to do with Contreras unless he plays everyday at 1b or left field, I do not want to invest my limited funds on a C that one needs a day off more often then a regular position player two still leaves us with the same weaknesses to address and 3 will more then likely cost us more to trade within the central ( maybe with the cubs selling that might not happen but odds are not in our favor) I like Contreras but in this year where we will have to more the likely have to do more with less in regards to payroll we must choice our opinions wisely and I this may OT be it.
  18. I hear what some are saying ......that thrers a chace but good lord thats a hell of a small chance. Not impressed with the return .
  19. Compared to past practice of affiliations the Brewers have to be pleased .Nashville now has one of the best New stadiums in all of the minors a very good destination for Brewer fans to attend ,non stop flights from. Milwaukee and in the lower minors they keep well run affiliates that they had good working relationships with. Over all a win win for the Brewers
  20. Was listening to mlb on XM said all teams will have their minor leauge teams no later then December 1st
  21. According to MLB it could be two or 3 players depending on who the brewers select from the list provided by the Phillies
  22. 3 lottery tickets
  23. Maybe I’m in the Minority but I think the trade market will be very active, now I don’t believe it will mean A lot of big name players will be moved But I do see a lot of movement from each other’s 60 man roster as the season moves on injuries ,Covid ,and expanded playoffs all point to more movement ,it may not be big earth moving trades but I think end of the roster or 60 man moves may be very active.
  24. The world’s largest poll barn lol . No wonder they build stadiums so often ,when there this damn ugly.
  25. All your going to get in a lottery ticket so keep em for depth.
