  1. Maybe next time Loe can get through the top of the order of the best hitting team in the National League in 5 pitches instead of 8.
  2. Man, Loe tried his best to get two outs before the online onslaught could begin, but you guys were pretty quick.
  3. There is a night and day difference of this team's attitude under Roenicke vs the attitude under Macha. Then again, it could just be dumb luck again.
  4. This is such a fun team. They are having fun too. They've learned to keep it in the dugout for the most part though.
  5. 1st he has to be in the correct spot between Weeks and 3rd base to cut off the throw (which might be needed once a season, thus it was impressive), then he has to notice that it needs to be cut off since Rasmus tripped, then he has to catch a rocket throw and sprint to the bag to dive and tag him. It was a very nice play. So far the Kotsay experiment has worked well. Hasn't cost us any outs in the field and has two hits. 20/20 I know, but this isn't the first time this season something like this has happened. It might be dumb luck for Roenicke, it might not...
  6. Out of 12 posts on this page, 10 are about Yuni, 2 good and 8 bad. .200 isn't very good. DFA him.
  7. Well, it's less frustrating than leading off the inning with back-to-back singles and then popping up three straight times http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif.
  8. If bad lineups are the lowest of the lows, it's gonna be one hell of a season!
  9. Ax is near unhittable when he can throw the curve right there.
  10. There is something to be said for having a good percentage of clean innings for a reliever, rather than giving up 1 or 2 runs every other outing. Nice play by Luc! He pounced on that ball before it could spin foul. That is a play that I don't think Molina could have made, of which there are few.
  11. Jay was a key out there. He looked good doing it too.
  12. Greinke's starts are looking awfully similar to each other. Lots of Ks, no BBs, with a fair number of balls left over the plate. 6-7 innings, 2-3 runs. I'll take it.
  13. How many opposite field shots does Weeks have in his career? It can't be many.
  14. Pitchers leading off innings with hits are among my favorite things.
  15. Greinke is just filthy. Couple more innings just like that last one would be nice.
  16. When I initially saw your username I was thinking "wow, he REALLY wants Nieves off the roster." NoNO!
  17. As long as they are making the 3rd out at home I am all for this, unless they are down by 3+ runs or Braun/Fielder is up next. Even if you get thrown out 50% of the time in this scenario you will come out ahead in the long run. Additionally, if the decision is either sitting at third and giving up a guaranteed out at 1st/2nd (or a possible DP), or heading home and forcing a close play at the plate I am all for going home as the benefit of scoring in that situation is not only a run, but it also keeps the other team from recording an out (if they so choose to throw home), and the worst case scenario isn't that bad (same number of outs and baserunners, but you no longer have a guy on third). I think teams are far too tentative to force plays at the plate because of the psychological negative impact of making an out in that scenario. If teams (and fans) can get over that and learn to accept the bad with the good on aggressive plays at the plate more victories will be the result. Of course a big caveat to this is the quality of the defense you are facing, and that's hard to quantify.
  18. It feels so good when Narveson wins, especially in the first game of an important series.
  19. Apparently TLR was worried about a momentary lapse of control as well, bringing in Mark Hamil for Pujols.
  20. So. Prince got drilled earlier this game. Kinda. I wouldn't be totally opposed to Loe having a little wild spell here.
  21. I would be okay with hitting double digits here.
  22. Counsell is playing like he's 38 years old again!
