I recall saying that the Brewers may pick someone not many people expected, and they delivered. I don't know much about Hiura, but apparently he's got a good bat.
At least from what I can see, nothing's updating on MLB.com. The tracker isn't working and neither is the stream. Oh well, hopefully it gets fixed soon. Edit: Apparently it's just Chrome. Changed browsers and it worked.
I wonder how many of these mock drafts predict an OF for the Brewers because they're thinking, "Well they took an outfielder for the two previous drafts, so therefore they must REALLY love outfielders!"
I'm going to keep my expectations... neutral at best. I don't think I remember a year in which the Brewers selected a guy most of us were excited about, at least during the time I was here.
I like this move. Feliz is still relatively young and has the potential to provide a decent season. If he does well the Brewers have a solid reliever on their hands and can flip him for a prospect or two. If he doesn't do well it's not the end of the world.
I don't necessarily think talks have slowed down between the Brewers and the Rangers. It could also mean that the Brewers are checking to see if other teams can one-up the Rangers before the deadline.
