  1. He's put a ton of runners on this game, but with the Cubs pathetic offense they haven't gotten much.
  2. On the plus side, Conti will be eligible to be on the post-season roster now. That one had me on the floor. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif The cubs are very beatable if you stay close and they go to their 'pen.
  3. Nice Question Igor. Unfortunately with the invention of the internet any moron with a connection can put up a site and pretend as if it's written by someone who actually knows something about baseball. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. David, how did I know that was coming? Am I now that predictable? I even inserted the word "leg" to try to stifle it. The good thing about leg cramps is that if the NL had the DH we could always just have Ginter be the DH.

  6. Ughhh, 10 stranded runners for Helms. That's a super bad game.....let's release him.

  8. Ginter just has leg cramps. Give him some Midol and he should be fine.

  10. I didn't want Ginter HURT. I just said he was having a bad day, and perhaps they ought to put Hall in. Richie had a bad AB maybe we should PH for him.

  12. Weak Cincy team (as well as demoralized) could easily lead to a 10-game streak heading back to Milwaukee. When did they move Wrigley to Milwaukee?
  13. When's the last time the Brewer's had 5 difference pitchers with a complete game in one season? 1997
  14. if only he saved those games we would be that much closer to respect and contention. Not to mention the extra starts Rusch has gotten after we knew he should have been sent down or away. well gbc, I'm sure if you look back at every Brewer loss, there's one or 2 things you could have done differently instead and you would have won the game. But in the real world you can't go back and change things based on hindsight. I'm sure every other team could also go back and make changes for the games against the Brewers and we'd end up losing every game. Gee, if we only hadn't drafted Kenny Felder and Antone Williamson.
  15. Well I was excited for a moment that maybe I missed the big announcement of the Brewers moving to Cincinnati and the Expos moving to Milwaukee.
  16. When did the Brewers start playing their home games in Cincinnati?
  17. Turk Wendell = Exxon Relief Man of the Series. How do you spell Relief Brewer Fans? W-E-N-D-E-L-L
  18. it's a mixed blessing having one of your pitchers face the Brewers Are you kidding? I would pick up Mike Maroth and Jeremy Bonderman and put them in my starting lineup if they were facing the Brewers.
  19. Daron Sutton said it was a strained rotator cuff and that Sheets was removed for precautionary reasons. Let's see, Sheets gets lit up last start and today, suprise, he has to be removed with what's diagnosed as a strained rotator cuff. Gee, I wonder if Ben hurt himself last game or before and decided to keep it quite and now he should be shut down for awhile. Naw, battlers don't go on the DL. Shake off the torn, I mean strained, rotator cuff and get back out there Ben.
  20. Two steps forward, three steps back. Maybe it's the pessimist in me, but remind me again what the two steps forward are?
  21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but defense up the middle is C, 2B, SS, CF? Where we have Perez, EY, Clayton, Sanchez/Podsednik? Wasn't one thing Melvin trying to improve this offseason defense up the middle?
  22. Why is it that those of us at home watching on TV in another city can figure out that Sexson had no chance to score, but the third base coach who was right there live in person could not figure this out. Battler's don't hold at 3B, they go for home. You know Lopes took a lot of heat for his "aggressive" running on the basepaths, but Yost is the same and Yost's fascination with Vets over prospects with potential makes me wonder that other than the color of their skin, what is the real difference between Lopes and Yost.
  23. Good to see EY and RHC in there again. I mean what would Ned do without Cruz and Hall at the end of the bench in deep freeze. Either Melvin thinks it's ok to play those two day after day after day or he's afraid to give Nedly some friendly advice. Why have a GM if the manager doesn't play the guys he puts on the team. If this keeps up we might as well jettison Yost at the end of the year because he's useless with young guys.
