Yea when was the last time we were heavily linked to a player and then ended up acquiring him? I remember being mentioned in passing on Moose a few weeks before we traded for him but that's it

Any chance we bring Brett Anderson back? Seems like with our improved infield defense a groundball heavy pitcher like him would be an ideal fit -
What prospects do we think might debut this year? Normally every year I have a decent idea of which guys have a shot at getting called up but I'm pretty confused this year. Guys like Ashby, Small, Turang, Lutz all last played high A in 2019 so this year in theory that would put them in line to play AAA. Do we think they start at AAA or do we think they start at AA? Do any of them have a chance to make their debuts this year?

The Brewers are right there with the Cardinals in terms of Projected Team WAR according to Fangraphs. I think we have a real shot to win the division, especially if we add a 3b and/or starting pitcher

Yea, it seems like the Cards wanted to give the young guys a shot in the outfield and Fowler wanted to go to a team he could play on.

I trust Houser as a starter much more than Freddy. Freddy has potential to be a TOR but is so inconsistent at the moment that it's hard to trust him

I'm surprised they wouldn't have Houser lined up to go against Chicago. Seems like you'd rather have Houser face the Cubs than Freddy

Sounds like the 60 man roster needs to be finalized by this Sunday. Anyone in particular you want to see on it? I'm hoping they put Rasmussen on it as I think he could make a big jump this season

I thought the DH was removed for 2021 only. Pretty sure it's part of the safety protocols for this season so it will be implemented

Both sides imo are too blame. I could understand if this was a safety issue but the fact that this is about $ for both of them makes both at fault if a deal can't be reached. That said it seems like both sides lose a lot of $ if no deal is reached so I have to believe that they will come to an agreement

I would really like to know the opinions of some fringe major Leaguers. The ones where this might be their only shot at being in the majors or the veterans who this might be their last shot. What do they think? It's easy for the players who know they will be back next season to say just wait it out.

My guess is they argue for a few days and by the end of this week or the beginning of next week some sort of agreement is reached. Like someone above said, if there are no games this year then nobody makes any $. I mean 50/50 sounds fair for a one season deal but I get why the players feel slighted, since a deal had already been agreed too. I'm sure something will eventually happen
