  1. Well it seems like he wants Taylor to play over Cain. But he doesn't want to cut Cain so I'm curious how he would go about it. Just make Cain the 5th outfielder?
  2. So what would be your solution if you were running the team?
  3. Yup, but actually, it's a choice you are making. I'll see all the games with Spectrum cable, no way I can go without, so I keep forking over the cash. A summer without Brewers baseball just isn't in the cards. I'm with you, I choose to pay for cable so I can watch the Brewers & Bucks. I totally understand why people cut cable and I would too if it wasn't for those two teams
  4. You think they DFA Lindblom with 2 years still left on his deal?
  5. Freddy's slider was absolutely deadly today
  6. I can see them going LRL to start the lineup but I'm not sure Cain is the guy batting 2nd(tbf I'm not sure who that guy is) but in the second half of 2019 and the few games Cain played in 2020 he was batting lower in the lineup rather than the top half
  7. What about a deal for Brian Anderson if Miami falls out of it this season?
  8. No matter what we have to stack lefties if we're starting Yelich, Wong, Bradley, Shaw, & Narvaez. There is no way to split them all up. Wong Yelich as 1/2 seems the best way to do that since Yelich is fine against lefties
  9. I'm assuming you're forgetting Garcia?
  10. Arcia looking rough at third today
  11. I stated this in another threat but I think Green is an extreme longshot to break camp with the club. With the way Stearns tends to operate if he can keep a Robertson, Vogelbach/Fisher type and also send Green down that's how he'll start the year to preserve depth. But then if Green does well in AAA or the Alternate site I think he could definitely get a call up when injuries or underperformance happens
  12. I don't think Green has much of a shot to make the for opening day, but of he tears up AAA like he has previously I think he has a real shot when injuries or underperformance happen
  13. To me it seemingly comes down to it Vogelbach is on the team. I think the bench can afford to carry one guy without positional flexibility to be just a pure bench bat, but assuming we carry 14 pitchers most of the season I'm not sure our bench can afford two guys who would basically never start
  14. I would guess Garcia will hit more HRs than Pina or Cain. Arcia or Urias might have a shot at 10 too
  15. A good game to not have on TV lol. I'd like to see Burnes and Urias but the rest of the pitchers and lineup is fairly boring today
  16. I'm confused. To those who say that we can't count on our offense because of what happened last year, then isn't signing Bradley a great move because he was awesome last season? Are we using last season or not? You can't have it both ways
  17. So there will be a new CBA before opening day? He said he thinks Hiura will play at 1st base this year, and he believes the new CBA (prior to the 2022 season) will institute a universal DH, at which point Hiura will be a DH. I hope Hiura surprises people this year and plays at least average defense at first base. Even if a universal DH happens starting in 2022, it will make it easier on the Brewers' future plans if Hiura can stay at 1B. But what does Vogelbach do this season? Ride the bench, get 15 starts and be a pinch hitter?
  18. I really like this signing. Our defense has to be the best in the league now. Every night we'll have one of Garcia, Cain, & JBJ ready to pinch hit. It'll allow plenty of rest for our outfielders. We all know Counsell loves to play his fourth outfielder a ton so I'm sure there are plenty of ABs to go around

  20. Taylor has an option so I'm sure he's ticketed now for AAA until an injury happens. Fisher & Mckinney are most likely going to be DFA'd as both are out of options

  22. So then where do you think Hiura plays?

  24. Not sure where to put this but with the news tonight that there will for sure be no DH in the NL what does that do for Vogelbach? He's a really good bat and I'd like to keep him on the team but his chances might have taken a severe hit. With him & Hiura both really being able to only play 1b I'm not sure where the ABs would come from besides as a pinch hitter, and the occasional start at 1st or DH
