    Is it me or does this team not have a 2 hole hitter anywhere in their lineup? assuming Braun, Weeks, Hart is your middle of the order. Nyjer is 1st or 2nd. who hits in the other top spot? LuCroy? Green? Gamel?

    Congrats To Ryan Braun. First brewer in my lifetime to win the award and hopefully not his last. All of his clutch hits is why he will always be my favorite baseball player

    I totally agree! Im not old enough to remember the 82 team and so this is the best team I have ever seen. The way wisconsin sports is going right now I am just trying to savor it all in while it lasts.

    I personally LOVE the gold jerseys. Its better than just the same ole same ole white gray and Blue jerseys. It makes them standout which I have always been a fan of. If they made it a legit alternate I would be very tempted to get one

    IMO getting the call right should be the #1 priority. I cannot tell you how many times I have been enraged at a missed call by an ump in a crucial part of the game. Even when the replay goes against my team I can atleast be fine because it is what happened. No team should get punished for the "human effect." How many times in the playoffs the last few years have umps blown huge calls. Seems like alot. I don't want my team or any team to be the team that has that horrible call go against them. It's a cheap way to lose and in fact a cheap way to win. Do you really want to win because of a blown call?

    So I know we have talked about this alot but what do you guys see the lineup/rotation/bullpen like for 2012. And what do you think will happen with the money we would normally spend on Prince. Personally I think they will try to find a defensive wiz at short either through trade(Narv or Wolf?) and sign someone like a Derrek Lee at 1st. I think we will also extend Greinke and maybe Marcum as well. I don't see us putting a ton of money into the bullpen as I think Melvin will go with mostly young guys there. What do you guys think?

    Tonight should be a easy win. Gallardo going up against the joke of a lineup that the astros are, especially considering Bourn could pull a Pence tonight. 3 runs should easily be enough i'm hoping. lol

    So is it me or are we going to have a ton of infield depth in sept? Once Weeks comes back and with JHJ at SS will our bench have all of Green, Yuni, Counsell, Wilson, Farris, Lopez, & Gamel for bench. That could be really nice depth going forward. Or is there something I'm missing?

    I agree with this, No way they should cut it that close. Ax has been nothing but brilliant, why should he get partially demoted. I don't mind K-rod saving every few games but it shouldn't be a 50-50 split.

    Any chance Bonificio from Florida would become available if they continue to struggle?

    Right I'm not saying I'd do this right now but if you gave Weeks the offseason to work at short, it seems to me he has the tools to be able to play short. It seems its easier to find a 2nd basemen than a shortstop. Maybe I'm just wrong.

    I'm not saying I would, but I've heard people in the past say no way Weeks could handle short. I figured maybe Weeks to short and call up Farris at 2nd or something next year if Farris is ready. It was just a thought, better than the guy we have at short right now.

    Just a question. I don't get why Weeks wouldn't be able to play short. He has a good arm at 2nd and good range. I must be missing something?

    I think besides the big name shortstops he is the best of the available shortstops that the Brewers could realistically get. He can play D and has some decent speed as evidenced by his 18 sb's. Perfect bottom of the order hitter and replacement for Yuni. What do y'all think?

    Seriously. Why doesnt RRR atleast start Wilson at short over Yuni. Neither can hit and Wilson plays better D doesn't he

    another 1 pitch out by yuni. Hey doug. Can we get a real ss out there. There is no way he made it to the majors playing the way he is now. Why does the guy keep getting shots?

    I'm guessing the usual 8 runs for the Sunday Lineup. Brewers win 8-3 to go into the break on a high note

    True. I guess I understand it. I've heard the guy has a plus fastball but not sure about his offspeed stuff. Hopefully the kid turns out to be a good bullpen arm for us the rest of the way and we can go 7 deep in our bullpen. That'd be huge

    What about Dan Meadows. He had a 1.51 era in AA with a 39/10 K/BB ratio. No one in AAA looks promising. I would have called him up. He seems to be dominating in AA

    Interesting. I'm guessing they will use him as a long man maybe. I really don't expect him to be up long, maybe just to get his feet wet in the majors. Maybe its just me though

    I have no problem with the lineup. honestly the only other thing I would probably do is switch Betancourt & Lucroy. It would be nice to have a great game from Marcum tonight
