Any else notice that Helena still had 6 players in their starting lineup tonight hitting over .300??? Even after all the promotions!!!! Wow... Holmberg with a big nite, and having a solid season thus far... But he is a 2nd baseman, so where can he go from here???

Braun to A+. If he keeps hitting, he'll at least be in AA to start next year, and that's pretty darn quick. See: Zimmerman, Ryan Agreed... Zimmerman is hitting .292 in his first 31 games at AA... He has 4 HR's and a .848 OPS... I feel Braun could succeed at AA also...

I agree that Heether should be up at Huntsville already...

I didn't say till he fails... I only said until he struggles...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

With the win tonight, the Brewers clinch a winning July... They are now 15- 12 this month with one game remaining... Here is to a 16- 12 July!!!! Go Brew Crew!!!!

I know alot of you will think I am crazy, but I would like to keep moving Braun up until he struggles... He could share time with Heether at 3rd and DH some at BC for the next few weeks... Then, if he keeps hacking away, move him up to Huntsville to finish out the year... Heck, if he impresses at Huntsville, we can move him up to Nashville for their AAA championship run!!!! I say let the kid keep moving up...

Barnwell with 3 shutout innings??? Wow!!!

Imo, I would have Braun skip BC and go to Huntsville... If that is where they want to start him next year, they might as well get him some AB's there this year... Heether is doing just fine at BC now that he is healthy...

Rickie is striking out at a Jose Hernandez type pace... 45 k's in 162 Ab's.... Brady Clark by comparison has 39 k's in 424 Ab's

Jenkins raises his average to .280

    Especially a relief pitcher...

Interesting to see Mark Rogers extended to 7 innings tonite... Also, I believe the Helena lineup confirms some speculated transactions... Why is Matt Kinney dominating Nashville???
  13. jvrocksaz
Please... Can someone at least put the ball in play???

Did anyone else notice that Arizona's current closer (Bruney) has an ERA over 6???
  16. jvrocksaz
Besides starting Helms, we really can't pin this on Yost... Not yet at least... Rickie may need a day off...

What happened to Braun??? Murray PH???

Craig Counsell, playing like a Brewer...

Arizona annoncers have reported that Brandon Webb will start tomorrow night...

This is from today's Arizona Republic: Webb's illness forces starter shuffle Nick Piecoro The Arizona Republic Jul. 25, 2005 12:00 AM Right-hander Brandon Webb was scratched from his scheduled start tonight in Milwaukee because of illness and left-hander Michael Gosling, who was scheduled to start Tuesday, will take the ball in his place. A new starter for Tuesday was not announced, but it could be Webb, who did not travel to Milwaukee with the team Sunday. "We'll see how Webby is the next day, and if we have to make more adjustments, we will," Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin said. advertisement Presumably, if Webb is feeling better, he could catch a flight to Milwaukee today. Catcher Chris Snyder and infielder Alex Cintron each battled illness earlier this week, and Melvin said Webb's wife also had been sick. Gosling, who started last Monday against Florida, said he's fully rested and ready to go. He was, however, looking forward to starting Tuesday against Milwaukee's Chris Capuano, a former Diamondbacks pitcher who was a groomsman in Gosling's wedding July 12 in San Diego.

I witnessed a recent walk off balk, but at the college level... ASU VS Cal Fullerton, Game #1 of the Super regionals this past season... ASU lost the game when the pitcher didn't come to a complete stop before the pitch... I believe the bases were loaded... It was the correct call, but a horrible way to end what was an exciting game... ASU came back to win the series and advance...

Mass Living here in Arizona I often wondered why the games (AZ rookie) weren't played at night also... I came to find out that the games aren't even played in the Spring Training stadiums that most teams have out here... Why? I have no idea... I stated in yesterday's post that these games are played in what seem like High School/ Rec center type fields... Chain link fences, blistering hot metal seat bleachers with hardly a scoreboard and very little shade... To be honest, the local little leagues have some better fields than the ones used for the AZ rookie league... Very strange to say the least...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

I went to Mark Rogers AZ Brewers debut last year... The setup for most of these games are similar to High School games... They are not played in Stadiums of any sort... Basically they are played on High School type fields with High School type bleachers for seating... You watch the game through a chain link fence at most of the parks... It is real informal, meaning their is no public address announcer and sometimes no scoreboard... This time of year in Arizona it is 100-110 degrees... Other than the dugouts, their is hardly any shade, especially for the fans... It is free to attend, but a tough show to watch...
