  1. Maybe the old Adrian Hauser middle innings bullpen role (typically 2 IP at a time)?
  2. Rasmussen looked fantastic. For as good as he was last year, that was also a good example of what Grisham still routinely looks like against quality offspeed pitches.

  4. Padres appear to have the on-paper advantage today. One thing I am a bit surprised about is that the Brewers have Pablo Reyes at third base and are sort of throwing away an opportunity to get a look at one of the more likely candidates for the position (i.e. Arcia, Robertson, Shaw, Green)

  6. JJ Cooper summed it up succinctly: Everyone this was ALWAYS going to happen. Have written this multiple times. Pretty much zero chance MLB was going to risk MLB games with an outbreak caused by calling up an non vaccinated AAA player who just flew commercial.

  8. No relation to recently signed Venezuelan shortstop, Gregory Barrios.
  9. If I'm reading the boxscore correctly it appears Lindblom had two hit batters and a run scoring wild pitch in the 1st inning.
  10. Adam McCalvy received a copy that was printed and placed in a binder.
  11. Josh Lindblom is replacing Brandon Woodruff as tomorrow’s starter. Woodruff apparently has some back stiffness and is being pushed back a couple of days.
  12. This is cool. Have they been doing a Gamecast for the regular season MLB games too? Yes, the Baseball Savant gamefeed provides great Statcast information during all regular season games. I'll start adding the link to the top of the regular season In-Game Threads.
  13. Here is the link for Statcast data to today's Brewers-Dbacks game: Baseball Savant Gamefeed - Brewers vs. Dbacks - 3/1/2021
  14. Tyrone Taylor looks like a major league hitter to me. The hitter that 7 years ago led the Florida State League in doubles now looks like he could develop into a legitimate power hitter. Granted he's only had 53 MLB plate appearances, but he's slugged .521 in the majors so far. I am buying into him having real power. His swing from last season and yesterday looks very quick and powerful, IMO. He's also the fastest player on the Brewers according to sprint speed. With that potential power and speed combination I think they'll regret if they don't give him a legitimate shot at extended playing time.
  15. His hits today were impressive, looked like his bat was explosive. Granted both hits were off southpaws, but he really jumped on the first good pitch he had to hit in each at bat. As an aside, some of the Spring Training parks are sharing Statcast data via BaseballSavant.com, and others aren’t. With tomorrow’s game against the Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields we will have Statcast data.
  16. Baseball is back!
  17. For those interested in watching other teams as well here is a link for MLB Network’s Spring Training Game Broadcast Schedule. That schedule denotes if a game is “LIVE”, the majority are re-broadcasts. According to today’s schedule the Brewers-White Sox’s game will be aired on MLB Network at 1:00 AM Central Time on Monday morning. For those that are able to watch NBC Sports Chicago today’s game will air live at 2:00 PM Central Time.
  18. Use this thread to discuss Spring Training games and individual performances throughout this year’s Spring Training. Updated Brewers Spring Training schedule (missing times are included in broadcast schedule further down). Below is the Brewers Spring Training broadcast schedule (first listed time is local to AZ, second listed time is CST).
  19. Rosenthal’s article for The Athletic this morning says a trade of Hader to San Diego is unlikely. He says the teams have discussed Hader intermittently over the past few years, but currently aren’t a match on a trade. He said the Brewers want controllable major league pieces, and the Padres don’t want to give those pieces up. Rosenthal mentions IF Jake Cronenworth and LHP Tim Hill as two players that fit the description of what the Brewers are looking for in a return.
  20. I know Freddy Peralta’s range of possible outcomes remains quite wide, but I’m buying into him taking another huge step in the right direction this season. There is a universe where Peralta becomes more consistent and begins dominating hitters regardless of the role. I look at the various projections for Peralta, and I think I’d take the over (better outcome) on nearly every category.
  21. Yes, according to Mike Vassallo it will be posted on Brewers.com soon. He also shared the cover for this year’s digital media guide...
