  1. Could be nothing, but from the Missions beat reporter, Joe Alexander, just a few minutes ago...
  2. One thing to watch, Erick Fedde has just 36 strikeouts in 66.0 innings pitched this season. The Brewers offensively have the 5th highest strike out rate per game in MLB (9.54 SO per game). Will the Brewers swing and miss against Fedde?
  3. Over the past 10 games the Brewers 7-3 record is the best among all teams in the NL Central.
  4. No Lorenzo Cain in last night in a 14-inning marathon and now he’s not in the lineup for a game 12 hours later. I wonder if it’s health related and whether he is available to play at all today?
  5. Here is where the three teams currently stand in terms of head-to-head results and games remaining... Cubs-Cardinals: Cubs lead season series 7-5. 7 games remaining including 4 at Wrigley Field and 3 at Busch Stadium. Brewers-Cardinals: Season series tied 5-5. 9 games remaining including 6 at Busch Stadium and 3 at Miller Park. Brewers-Cubs: Cubs lead season series 7-5. 7 games remaining including 4 at Miller Park and 3 at Wrigley Field.
  6. Chase Anderson: Batter (Nationals) vs Pitching Stats Erick Fedde: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  7. If it was for the division championship they would rank the teams based on head-to-head results. The lower ranked of the two teams would play first and the winner of that game would play the highest seeded team for the division championship. If the teams had identical records against one another they would use the following tie-breakers (they play 19 games for each series, so it would have to be a rock-paper-scissors type scenario, something like where each team was 10-9 and 9-10 against the other two)... Here are all of the gory details if you would like, How to determine playoff tiebreakers
  8. These past two games against the Nationals have sort of summed up the entire season in a nutshell.
  9. The Brewers had 20 hits, 7 home runs, and scored 15 runs overall tonight and improved their season run differential by one measly run.
  10. We probably need a final role call just so we have proof of who stuck with that one for the past six hours.
  11. Hopefully the whole pitchers running the bases then struggling the next half inning theory doesn’t apply for Guerra. Maybe it’s a reverse outcome for him and he’s about to strike out the side?
  12. Well if this one goes much longer they might need to send someone to go wake him up.
  13. Same for the Nationals at least. I think the bigger issue is not having an off day on Monday.
  14. Javy Guerra is not a strike out pitcher by any means and he’s struck out 4 Brewers in a row.
  15. I know it's really unpopular and would probably be lame for MLB, but the runner on second in extras thing is actually really fun in the minors. Or they could just have *gasp* ties after 12 or so innings, with the obvious exception of the postseason. I would be fine with ties, similar to the NFL in a way.
