  1. Grandal took it well, but it was an awful call. It was an awful call, Phil Cuzzi definitely blew that one.
  2. Chase Anderson: Batter (Cardinals) vs Pitching Stats Michael Wacha: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  3. Jordan Lyles: Batter (Cardinals) vs Pitching Stats Jack Flaherty: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  4. Adrian Houser: Batter (Cardinals) vs Pitching Stats Adam Wainwright: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  5. Over the past week Brent Suter has pitched 7.0 scoreless innings while allowing just 2 hits. He is definitely having a positive impact during the current winning streak. Hopefully he can continue to serve as a middle inning bullpen anchor in close games.
  6. Gio Gonzalez: Batter (Marlins) vs Pitching Stats Caleb Smith: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  7. Zach Davies: Batter (Marlins) vs Pitching Stats Pablo López: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  8. With the Cubs down 5-2 in San Diego (still early) it is very much possible that the Brewers are going to be just one game back of a wild card spot on the same night they lose Christian Yelich for the season.
  9. Chase Anderson: Batter (Marlins) vs Pitching Stats Elieser Hernández: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  10. The Brewers finishing the regular season on a 23-game winning streak is going to make the 2007 Rockies look like total chumps.
  11. Faria is worse. But anyhow, just have somebody warming up when burnes enters the game. Based on a 4.1 inning sample before tonight? I think they are going for more of the long play with Faria anyway, but lets not write him off after three outings where he gave up between 1-2 earned run.
  12. Jordan Lyles: Batter (Marlins) vs Pitching Stats
  13. My guess is that if the Brewers finish the season 13-7 they will at least force a playoff “play-in” game and could possibly get in outright. As I mentioned in the IGT, the Brewers hold the head-to-head tiebreaker for home field advantage versus the Nationals, Cubs, Diamondbacks, Phillies, and Mets.
  14. Brewers with the season series win over the Cubs, 10 wins and 9 losses. One thing going in the Brewers favor is they would have the home field advantage in a possible play-in game versus the Cubs, Diamondbacks, Phillies or Mets. Edit: They won the season series versus the Nationals as well, but it would likely take a bit of Washington collapse to catch them.
  15. Adrian Houser: Batter (Cubs) vs Pitching Stats Jon Lester: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  16. Gio Gonzalez: Batter (Cubs) vs Pitching Stats Yu Darvish: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  17. Zach Davies: Batter (Cubs) vs Pitching Stats Cole Hamels: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  18. Chase Anderson: Batter (Cubs) vs Pitching Stats José Quintana: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  19. Jordan Lyles: Batter (Astros) vs Pitching Stats Zack Greinke: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats Note: Not sure what is going on with Lyles MLB.com description, I waited awhile for them to correct it but that hasn’t happened yet.
  20. Adrian Houser: Batter (Astros) vs Pitching Stats Gerrit Cole: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  21. Gio Gonzalez: Batter (Cubs) vs Pitching Stats Tyler Chatwood: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
