  1. What happened to Wolf? He seemed to be getting roughed up a bit and a had a high pitch count. Did they not have a reliever warmed up?
  2. Can't see the game. What the hell happened? Groundout to short, but no double play? Could he have thrown home?
  3. Glad to hear the offense pick up tonight. Stuck in St Louis with gamecast, so don't know if they got 10 cheap hits or 10 rockets, but like the results nonetheless.
  4. Wow, you're really good at stealing things.
  5. Packers jersey can get as bad. The most obvious sign is the numbering on the back. If the material of the numbers look warped, it's a counterfeit. Good luck putting those things through the wash too. Most of my friends who have bought jerseys off of eBay (obvious counterfeit) have had the seams falling off by the second wash, and the numbers heavily warped. Brewers jerseys are more obvious. The 8's often look ridiculous, and the name on back is either too thick or too thin. I've seen some that are obviously the wrong font. Another obvious sign is the coloring. The gold stripes and number/name outlines should be a textured and shiny gold. It should never be a solid color. Many of the counterfeits have an obvious Packer-gold for the sleeves, which look absolutely ridiculous. There's also problems with the color of road grays and colors in the throwback. If you buy a Chinese counterfeit, you're committing a crime. It's illegal, hands down, no way to justify it. It's the same concept as bootleg DVD's. Not legal. If the seller claims he's legitimate, you're still doing something illegal. I'm not going to go out and buy an official $250 jersey. I have, however, bought legitimate replica Magestic jerseys for $60-$70. These look much better than any Chinese knockoff you'll get online, and they'll last a hell of a lot longer. They're not 100% true to game worn uniforms, but you're guaranteed proper stitching and coloring... and your numbers won't warp. It's kind of ironic that MLB prides itself on using Majestic jerseys, which are made in the USA. The cost is much higher due to this fact, and people turn to China for the uniforms anyways. And I really do think many people would complain if MLB switched to Nike or Reebok, or Majestic moved jersey production outside of the US. Many of these same people probably would own cheap knockoffs from China. As far as jersey sales go, I wish MLB would drop prices in their official uniforms so people could actually think about affording what the fans wear instead of resorting to buying obvious fakes. I'd comfortably say that 90% of 'authentic' jerseys on gameday (worn by fans) are fakes. Sure, they're never going to attract the guys that buys $20 jerseys, but they would get a lot more people buying authentic jerseys if it were priced reasonably. Enough to move 0% profit counterfeits over the current profits of authentic jerseys. If you dropped the price in half, I honestly think they'd get 5x more in sales, which would end up in more profit. This, of course, is hard to do considering the royalty system of a uniform. From production of a finished jersey, Magestic gets a cut, MLB gets a cut, the Brewers get a cut, and the seller finally gets their cut. By the time the seller gets it, they have to mark up to a ridiculous price to make a profit. Enough rambling.
  6. I'm not one to argue called strikes, but if you're going to allow Dodgers to look at close pitches without fouling them off, then you should give Braun some of those as well.
  7. It's this kind of stupid, idiotic play that scares me down the road. Sure, the Brewers are beating the Dodgers and Pirates by a couple runs, but they're luck may run dry when a good offense gets to a starter early. That steal was one of the dumbest ideas I've seen this year. A 2-0 pitch isn't a runners count, and being 40 years old should be a red flag. I know the pitcher had been bouncing balls, but shouldn't that be incentive to wait for another wild pitch, or count on a walk from Hart.
  8. Why the hell do you run in that situation!??????
  9. You've got to be kidding me. Tony Gwyn Jr freaking home run.
  10. Good hit and great at bat but I'm absolutely SICK of terrible base running by the Brewers.
  11. Yuni has been popping up a bunch. Maybe he can get some solid wood into the outfield for the sac.
  12. Remember that one really good defensive game?
  13. Taylor Green would've just ended it there with a walkoff jack and cured cancer while running the bases. Maybe at least a little bit less nervous. I thought it was a double play after he rolled over it. Camera didn't seem to quick to pan too quickly to the infield.
  14. "Lately they've been all wins for Milwaukee. Make it two in a row over the Pirates"
  15. It sure seems like that now. A couple years ago he seemed to be a tough out to get in the infield, but now a days it doesn't seem like he's been legging too many of them out.
  16. I wonder if there's ever been a triple play and 4 double plays in a shutout? At least not in a very long time.
  17. I haven't read the rest of the thread (I'm only on page one thus far) so forgive me if this was already discussed. . . . Prince got a good throw because all his bad throws (okay, maybe not all of them; how about most?) were when he was playing in and so he threw the ball high. On tonight's triple play, he was throwing from the bag, which gave gravity the required time to get the ball down to where it belonged. On all those bad Prince throws, he forgot to take gravity into account and was throwing as if he was even at the bag. Yeah, I agree those throws were still bad, I was giving a rhetorical exclamation that Prince finally was able to gun someone out at home. It wasn't a perfect throw, but it was certainly good enough and he had a smart head to throw it quickly. And McGehee really looked lost there. He guesses WAY too much. I'd rather see him try to foul that off or put one in play than the half-swing look strike three.
  18. Good thing Braun stole. Lilly has been rolling Fielder over all night. Now MeGehee, do what you do... flyout to right field!
