  1. Great, my wife just asked me if they'll keep playing if no one scores and I explained that this wasn't soccer. (Yes, we've only been married 18 years, but she still has to ask me such questions.) But, in this case, I suggest we make an exception and mutually agree that neither team really wants to win and we just passed the 185 minute mark so let's call it a tie.
  2. ...they'll probably either bring in Spurling, who is still probably pretty rusty or Balfour. Or they could quickly call up a 14th pitcher....
  3. Great, one of our guys finally gets ahold of one, but it happened to be the ONLY guy who can't flip one our of the Great American homerpark!!
  4. Maybe we should have traded for Izturis just so he could run over and grab Estrada's boys from behind when he doesn't run out a grounder!
  5. That's right! Didn't Dunn just get traded to Milwaukee for Wise over the weekend? What the heck happened?
  6. Maybe Hart ran out to get Estrada a brat and was just coming back in from the concession stand. Only explanation I can think of why he was coming in through the gate in the wall when that ball was hit.
  7. Geez, was Hart playing with his back against the wall there? I know we're playing deep to avoid the extra base hit, but come on!! Take at least a small chance on giving up the extra base hit in order to have a chance to catch that. Routine fly ball to center and we don't get out of the inning!
  8. The thing is, we've had to watch games like this for 25 years. Even with the success thus far this season, you'd really hope we could avoid crap like this at least for one season!! Please?
  9. Well, they certainly don't deserve to win this one. HUGE bonus if they can somehow pull it out. But let's try not to completely blow out the bullpen in the process!!
  10. Man, is Braun a hitter. Enough said.
  11. I would guess Koskie would have already announced his retirement by now if there wasn't the small issue of collecting on the rest of his contract!
  12. Come on - SOMEONE must have downloaded the video clip of Izturis assualting Ramirez (and Ramirez enjoying it) after that walk-off home run. Brilliant!
  13. Ok, how do you see the team standings?
  14. Ok, I'd like to echo the "thanks for adding another addition to my life" comment!! Although I'm having some difficulty hitting the sandlot pitches!!!
  15. A blow-up doll. Maybe the moron should have deflated "her" before taking "her" with him to the ballpark!
  16. A: To shut this announcer up! Q: Why would I love to see Fielder take Lincecum DEEP?
  17. A: Lincecum is a special talent. Q: What did we have to hear one more time today?
  18. A: Seeing the bratwurst lose his head, open the gate, charge out into LF and just clock Bonds. Q: What would be very funny?
  19. A: Probably a little bit of both. Q: Is this diarrhea due to the game today or the Mai Tai's and Wasabi sauce last night?
  20. Geoff Jenkins Who's having a terrible birthday? A2: Me too!
  21. A: Hopefully not many more. Q: How many times are we going to hear "this kid's some kind of special"?
  22. A: 4.20 ERA - somebody's hitting him at least a little bit Q: Why was the statement "Lincecum is some kind of special" a little bit over the top?
  23. A. This is a nationally televised game during a pennant chase. Q. Why should this ridiculous Jeopardy format be stopped? A: Careful pal! Q: Who's about to get 'strike one' for questioning this format?
  24. When they stopped me, I didn't question why because: A. I thought it was pretty obvious why. B. It made a lot of sense. Earlier in the game, I was surprised to see it wasn't a madhouse in Right Center. It was good thinking on the Brewers' part to restrict access. May have been a good idea, but from the reports, they didn't do a very good job informing everyone. PA announcements? Signs? Ushers/cops who could very quickly explain the reason? Ushers in particular - you just love those cop wannabes.
