    The only way we win the division is if we start playing even average on the road. What signs have you seen that that will happen at all this year? The poor play is continuing yet again tonight. Call me a pessimist if you'd like, but that's just what I think.

    Pujols rookie year: 590 AB, .329 average, 37 HR, 130 RBI, 1.013 OPS Braun rookie year: 262 AB, .347 average, 20 HR, 53 RBI, 1.044 OPS Braun's rookie year translated to Pujols AB's: 590 AB, .347 average, 45 HR, 119 RBI, 1.044 OPS Just to put things in perspective as to how great his rookie year has been. He has ROY locked up barring a major drought.

    Pujols rookie year in 161 games: .329 average, 37 HR, 130 RBI Braun in 64 games (including today): .348 average, 20 HR, 53 RBI. That translated to 161 games = .348/50 HR/159 RBI Now, I know this is not fool proof and a lot of things can be said, just putting his season in perspective.

    The whole team should be fighting with the uninspired garbage they are putting on the field right now. Very little emotion shown by this team lately, and this is a good thing to see.

    I know this has been rehashed several times, but I don't consider this season a success if we do not make the playoffs. Whether we were playing over our talent level or not early in the season, we had a 9 game lead. 9!! It's playoffs or bust for me.

    So 54 games left, tied with the Cubs. Are the Brewers going to take this thing? I think the Cubs end up winning the division, mainly because they play competently on the road, their rotation is more settled than ours, and they are just a more experienced team overall. I look at the Brewers and I see a lot of the young guys struggling down the stretch. I don't think either team runs away with it, but the Brewers lose out by 3 games or so and have to wait until next season for the playoffs. I pray that I'm wrong and someone bumps this thread to rub it in my face.

    I'll pass on all of the above. We know why Weeks is struggling, but is a guy with no power who has done nothing for quite some time really an upgrade? I don't believe so. I like Hall in CF/Weeks at 2B over Gwynn in CF/Hall at 2B.

    70 more? We have 56 games left. We're probably going to have to play 31-25 baseball or so to make the playoffs. So those that think this is just some bad "mini-stretch" need to put things in perspective. We also have more road games than home games left. But yes, everything is fine!!! Let people blow off some steam. This last week has been one of the most frustrating in recent memory with how we've lost the games.
