  1. I'm guessing they'll just sell parking in advance so if you don't have a pass, you aren't getting in. At least for the preferred. That way you won't have the Opening Day fiasco where people with passes ended up going to State Fair because they sold those spots to cash buyers.
  2. Thankful that we'll never have to see those retro unifoms worn every week again and that the 23, 24, 25, 26 year talk can finally end.
  3. The Cubs, for doing well enough that these last 3 games didn't matter much to them. With how awful we are hitting, it's doubtful we win 2 out of 3 against the Cubs full A-team.
  4. I hear Pan Am might make a surprise appearance... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  5. Club level, right behind home plate. Anyone know if we can print tickets through our accounts and keep the actual playoff tickets un-torn?
  6. not related to Bob's call, but I was at the game and recording video of all the big moments (Braun's HR - just had a feeling and so i started recording, the final double play and the Marlins win, along with the crowd reactions of all of these), and will be uploading them somewhere tomorrow and will be sure to post the link. some awesome videos they turned out to be.
  7. Just got back from the game. I'm selling inch squares of streamers and confetti for $5 each to you "fans" who didn't show up for whatever reason but years from now will still claim to have been there, lol.
  8. CC can leave now. He's done more than enough. We came out ahead, no need to overpay now.
  9. Ugh. Guess it's the AC'ed club-level bar area for me then for a good chunk of the game. Hopefully they have the Packers game on too.

  11. I've accepted the fact that this team will not make the playoffs. They have proven during this last month that they cannot come through when it counts and any kind of serious pressure leads to them not performing the way they've done all year. Other than 3-4 clutch ABs late in games recently, they have been hitting horribly, struggling to score 3+ runs or have 6+ hits in many games. The added do-or-die pressure today will overcome the team, and especially if they get behind early, those 27 outs will start counting down quickly with each pop-out and strike out. And even worse will the the fact that it's the Cubs, and their fans will be all too willing to remind us for the forseeable future about how they dealt us these crushing blows in our one best shot of ending the drought. Oh well. Time to leave for the game. I guess we'll re-stock the minors and can "go for it" again in around 2011 or so. Good thing 3,000,000 people buying tickets and spending money will allow us to remain a contender next year. Oh wait, no it won't. New owner, same as the old owner.
  12. I say we just pitch everyone 1-3 innings until their spot comes up to bat. It would be like playing with a DH in the 9 spot for the entire game.
  13. I think a lot of you were fooled by the last 4 games. Just because they won didn't mean they were playing well. They haven't hit well all month, and were bailed out by late-game HRs a few times this week. I fully expect them to lose by 4-6 runs tomorrow, with Sveum taking out CC early so he doesn't get hurt for his next team once they are losing by enough runs. And of course the Mets will win easily with Perez. This team has no heart and hasn't played a complete game well all month long, so there is no reason to believe that tomorrow will be any different. CC is overworked and can't do it alone. Sorry if this seems like a "vent" post, but it got a little tiring seeing you all making playoff plans and all that when the team obviously couldn't care less about playing like a playoff team.
  14. Just got back from the game (yes, left after 6th and damn glad I did). Was very good to see Sheets get booed when he left the game. A frequently injured .500 pitcher who never came up big when it mattered. I hope the fans of his new team enjoy watching his skills deteriorate even more as he falls apart.
