  1. Nothing like having Counsell and kendall batting when we are down a run. This team is toast. Why exactly did we call up Gamel and Nelson if we have no intention of using them. If this team was any good at all we would have a real shot at the division with the Cubs choking as bad as we are. How pitiful and sad is it going to be when we finish in 4th place in our division.
  2. What is left to say at this point. One hit in 5 innings against another scrub and we are down 3-1. We might seriously wind up with 85 wins or so. Im past the point of anger and have come to accept the fact that this team sucks.
  3. i dont know how to post in pink either but I have to say this team is unwatchable.
  4. At this point Im not sure that the Astros arent this years Rockies. They also have a very easy schedule so this thing is really going down to the wire. With the Phillies incredibly easy schedule we really need to split with them and that wont be easy.
  5. Ennder, exactly how many times does this team have to collapse under Ned's watch until he gets fired? 88 wins and missing the playoffs this season is completely unacceptable.
  6. I was assuming that Ned goes as well but Melvin also has to take some responsibility for this collapse.
  7. If the collapse ends without a playoff spot I would clean house and have Jack Z replace melvin as GM. He is more responsible for the success we have had than Melvin anyway.
  8. I totally saw that clip and its not the first time I have seen a clip of Prince from 2 or 3 years back and the differences are startling. Anyone that says Prince has not gained a ton of weight in the last few years just isnt watching closely.
  9. He definitely has cost himself tons of money but Im more concerned on what he has cost the team. He is a major reason why the offense has collapsed of late and his trade value isnt what we need it to be in order to trade him. He has gained a ton of weight this season and it has adversely affected his play.
  10. I will always be a Brewers fan no matter how many times this team chokes, but I admit that I am losing my enthusiasm as a fan. If this team continues to fall apart and misses the playoffs I will be devastated and will have a hard time regaining any sense of enthusiasm for 2009 and beyond. If this team cant make the playoffs this season after trading for CC then I just dont think they ever will. If this team keeps Ned Yost and lets CC and Sheets walk I just dont know how I can bring myself to watch them next year even though I know I will. I am just sapped of energy from watching this team play and falter down the stretch. The long term ramifications of this team missing the playoffs will be an extreme drop of attendance and I cant blame any fan for that. Enough is enough!
  11. How can you not panic at this point. We have a completely sputtering offense and an absolutely awful bullpen. We also have Prince Fielder doing his best Craig Counsell imitation and whiffing or grounding out weekly every at bat.
  12. This team is toast. We cant score any runs and the bullpen is awful. Prince Fielder is hitting like Craig Counsell and we are losing games to the likes of the Padres and Reds at home. We have a 10 game road trip coming up which includes stops in Philadelphia where I have no faith that we can win even one game and Chicago which is better than us as well. I really could see this team ending up with 85 wins or so and finishing behind Philadelphia, St Louis, and Houston. Does anybody have any faith in nervous Ned to turn this team around? If this collapse continues and I have no reason to believe it wont this will be the most devastating season ever as a Brewers fan. My emotions are ranging from anger to panic to apathy at this point. I apologize for rambling on but this team is so frustrating and I cant hide my dissastisfaction any longer.
  13. Two more years of that stiff. He has been flat out awful and he is getting worse it seems with each outing. How is it possible that Dillard and even Stetter cant get a legit shot of pitching meaningful innings and Riske and Gagne get opportunity after opportunity to blow games.
  14. Thanks Brian and staff for all the great work you do keeping this site running. I sent some money out and encourage everyone who can afford to do so to do the same.
  15. Im not a big fan of Anderson or Schroeder but I can tell you from watching the games on MLB Extra Innings we could do worse. Try listening to the Pirates announcers some time or the Royals. The Pirates guys are the worst I have ever heard do any sport. As far as guys I do like the Houston announcers are excellent especially Deshaies. SF also has excellent announcers as do the Red Sox.
  16. Im a Jets fan and was curious to watch Favres debut against Miami and Chad Pennington who I loved as a Jet but I watched the Brewers instead until Bill Hall ruined any chance we had of winning. I have been waiting too long to see this team in the playoffs to focus on any other teams right now. I do understand why most people in Wisconsin would rather watch the packers since they are a top notch franchise but I am a bigger fan of the Brewers than any other team I root for.
  17. I am in complete panic mode right now. The offense has completely tanked the last week and CC and Sheets are the only starters we can trust. Throw in an awful bullpen and Bill hall as an everyday third basemen and there is clearly reason to worry. I am very worried about that series next weekend in Philadelphia.
  18. I have a bad feeling that we arent going to turn things around. The offense has completely shut down and every starter not named Sabathia and Sheets are struggling as well. That series in Philly could really be the catalyst to our season completely unraveling.
  19. I say we should play Gamel. We need all the offense we can get at this point and Hall has been nothing less than an absolute albatross on this team. Gamel couldnt possibly be any worse than Hall and might be appreciably better.
  20. I realize that most of you are probably bigger Packers fans than Brewers fans and thats cool but is one Packers game more important than the Brewers making the playoffs for the first time in 26 years. If the Brewers were as successful as the Packers and were a great franchise with championships and lots of playoff appearances I could see blowing off the Brewers but this team has had little to no success in 26 years. That is why I am hanging on every Brewers pitch.
  21. Any true Brewers fan will be watching the Brewers. I am Jets fan and I was mostly watching the Brewers today until Billy Hall decided to make himself known. The Packers have had tons of success and this is just the first game while the Brewers are in a real playoff race for the second time since 82. Got to watch the Brewers.
  22. Unless games are meaningless none of them will start.
  23. I admit that I am in full panic mode right now. I really think we are going to blow this playoff spot. With Peavy going on Saturday we will be lucky to split this series and if we somehow lose with CC pitching tomorrow night this team could really fall aprt in a hurry. I truly fear the road trip especially the games in Philly and Chicago. If we dont make the playoffs this year I dont think we ever will and that is sad.
  24. I am sick and tired of Prince being so fat and lazy.
  25. Missing the playoffs this season would be even more disappointing than last seasons collapse. Even if we do get in we havent shown that we can beat playoff caliber teams anyway. Getting swept at home by the Cubs and Mets shows that this team isnt ready for the bigtime. I have a really bad feeling about the rest of this season.
