  1. I dont know if Mark A was behind the Gagne signing but I definitely think he was 100% behind the signing of Suppan. He actively recruited Suppan and I fully blame him for that signing. He fell in love with Suppans pitching in the playoffs that year and decided he had to have that "big game pitcher". We still have Suppan and are stuck with him at 25 mil for the next two years. So as much as gagne is a bust Suppan is far worse because we signed him for 4 yrs when he is a below average starter.
  2. Even rluz the ultimate optimist has been beaten down by this team. That basically says it all.
  3. Assuming we dont have a great weekend in Cincinnatti what will the atmosphere be like when the team returns home next week? With the team seemingly out of the race I fully expect a nasty crowd that will boo at every gaffe the team makes. It is my opinion that the fans of this team are fed up of the choking and will let the team hear all about it. I expect things to get real ugly and by the time the weekend comes the park will probably be split around 90/10 in favor of Cubs fans.
  4. Not that it should have come to this but Dale Yost is as clueless as Ned. How many times are we going to have our two worst hitters (Counsell and Kendall) batting in big spots late in games. When you are in the twelth inning and have second and third with no out and the infield in you cannot let Counsell and Kendall hit. These two clowns cant ever hit the ball out of the infield and as usual they both were left in the game to surprise surprise hit weak ground balls that couldnt score the runner. Enough is enough! It is time to fire Melvin and let Jack Z have a shot.
  5. Its time to give Jack Z a look as the GM. He has done an excellent job assembling talent through draft and he is a far bigger reason why this team has had any success the last few years. Lets give him a shot because he has definitely earned it.
  6. Its nice to know that Sveum thinks as much of Counsell and Kendall as Ned does.
  7. Weeks Braun Hardy Fielder Cameron Lamb/Hall Hart Rivera/Kendall, more of Rivera Pitcher We cant continue to have 7-9 of Counsell, Kendall, Pitcher where you have three automatic outs in a row. I would also make sure Kendall gets pinch hit for 7th inning or later whenever he starts and gwynn to be nothing more than a pinch runner. If kapler was healthy I would have him replace hart in the lineup.
  8. It was only one game but we have already learned that Dale is as dumb as Ned. He bats Cameron leadoff, keeps Counsell in the lineup and lets Shouse pitch to a righty. He also lets Kendall bat in the ninth. Same manager just different name on the jersey. This season cant end soon enough and melvin can start packing his bags as well. Time to let Jack Z have a go at it because enough is enough.
  9. I think Yount is back for several reasons one of which is that Ned is gone but the most important being that he and Dale Sveum are the best of friends. I do not think that he is here to scout for Brenly. I feel that the only way Yount is here permanently is if Sveum gets the job full time. Personally Ive had enough ex Brewers managing the team and want a proven commodity like Davey or Bobby V. As much as Bobby supposedly loves Japan there were rumors of friction between he and the ownership of his team. Milwaukee would be the type of opportunity that he would crawl back for with our young talent. He would be a great choice if Davey Johnson turns us down.
  10. Davey Johnson and Bobby Valentine are far and away the best possible choices. Johnson is a brilliant handler of young pitchers and players love playing for him while Valentine is also a great in game manager. Showalter does not like or get along with young players which would make him an awful choice. He is also too much of a drill sergeant type and players have tuned him out everywhere he has gone. If he is hired there would be a revolt within two months. Mattingly has no personality whatsoever and contrary to popular belief has never won anything. I would never take a chance with him. Brenly is another bad in game manager who only won because he had Scilling and Johnson dominating. He is also another guy with no personality who should stay being a boring announcer for the scrubs. Davey Johnson and Bobby V are both dynamic leaders with great personalities and both of these guys are terrific tacticians. I would be very disappointed if we didnt go in one of these two directions.
  11. Better late than never but this move should have been made after last season. Hopefully we can hire Davey Johnson or Bobby Valentine as the next Brewers manager.
  12. Only losers complain about the fans. The bottom line is these guys are a bunch of whiny complainers and that attitude comes from the manager who is the biggest excuse maker in the world. Maybe if this team had a leader that made the players accountable they wouldnt always be looking for other to blame.
  13. Thats what happens when you rent a player. If you make the playoffs the trade is somewhat worth it but when we dont this trade is terrible. Wont be much fun watching LaPorta hit 40 Hrs while CC is pitching for the Yankees and we have two draft picks and no playoffs.
  14. Why is Yost being allowed to finish this season? Hasnt he done enough damage to this teams chances. Lots of blame to go around including one Mark Attanasio who kept Yost this season. He has been a good owner financially but he should be able to see what a dope yost is. We went all in this year giving up a potential star in LaPorta and we will have nothing to show for it. Im pretty sure Attanasio wouldnt keep a money manager of his who keeps losing money but he keeps yost around to ruin seasons. Just makes no sense to me and it never will. Time to start over with Jack Z as GM and a manager that has no ties to the Milwaukee Brewers organization.
  15. The sad thing is the Brewers wasted two potential playoff seasons because of one dope in the dugout. Melvin now has to pay the price along with clueless Ned for this debacle. Time to clean house and let Jack Z take over this rudderless ship.
  16. Cameron is the least of the Brewers problems and is actually one of the only players on the team having a productive season. It is also a pleasure to watch a gold glove caliber CF for once. The outfielder to worry about is Corey Hart. His OBP is terrible and he has been awful lately. Braun has also been terrible lately but I suspect that he is injured.
  17. I just walked out of the game and Im going home. I cant take this anymore.
  18. Im venting that I am still here in Philadelphia watching this crap. I cant wait for my 2 hour long ride home to New York after this debacle. I am also venting that I was dumb enough to actually attend this series knowing full well that they would choke.
  19. Iam venting that I am in philadelphia watching this crap. This team has completely fallen apart and I don't see how they can turn things around. I was so sad watching this game today and I am sure I will be just as sad tomorrow watching 2 more losses before my long drive home. I'm at a loss for words from this team but I can say that this team makes me sad.
  20. If this is true its a complete disgrace. If its not bad enough for the astros that they cant play these games at home, playing at Milwaukee is essentially giving the home field advantage to the cubs. This is completely unfair and if i was an Astros fan I would be livid.
  21. Im sorry but this is just another example of how mentally weak this team is. Every time something goes wrong they have to come up with lame excuses. This is as lame of an excuse as there is. I think its the fans right to boo when the team is on the verge of a second collapse in a row. 3 million fans are paying to watch this team and I consider that great fan support. Think the Rays would have a problem playing in front of so many fans? This team completely lacks confidence at all. Every time things start going bad they all pout and make excuses. Time for making excuses is over. There is no reason why this team shouldnt make the playoffs. I guess I shouldnt blame Corey from complaining when the biggest excuse maker of them all is his manager. Its about time this team grows up and takes responsibility for its own failings.
  22. Get that resume ready and hope Dale Jr hires you to change his tires.
  23. Gabe has had an awesome season for the Brewers. This is a very big loss. Gwynn should do nothing other than pinch run. I dont want him getting any more at bats the rest of the season.
  24. Im surprised no one else touched on this but why exactly did yost replace an injured kapler with Gwynn? Seriously Gwynn makes Counsell look like Pujols. The guy cant hit a ball out of the infield and he almost cost us a chance to win the game with the double play he hit into. Gwynn shouldnt ever be on this roster even in September with the rosters expanded and yost shouldnt be allowed to manage this team when he plays a guy like Gwynn ever.
