    So he's had 8 plate appearances getting on 3 times. I'll take that rate any day.

    I could list quite a few solid AAA pitchers we've brought up in the last 8-10 years who were anything but prospects.

    He had a triple too. I do not get why Weeks does not bunt more with his speed. I honestly think Phil Garner could win with this team by letting or having these guys use their speed.

    I've always hated the start his service clock argument. It's all about winning games plain and simple. Melvin has never gotten that nor never will. This is what preturbed me about McGahee last year in some ways. He was one of your best players in the spring but somehow the wonders to be kept trying to convince us that Bill Hall should play.

    I guess I do not understand why Dean Taylor gets all this heat. He got Sexson for little to nothing. He also drafted Sheets along with the unpopular choice by many in Fielder. He actually did more with less having Wendy running the team. Sure, he signed Hammonds but Melvin has alot more worthless FA's than him including Gags and Suppan. Doing things such as trading for Felipe Lopez then not tendering him are things that he should be looked at. Trading Lee who was at a sell high point with Cruz is right up there with Vaughn and Sheffield as far as I'm concerned.

    The Phillies could play 3 in Miller Park as extra home games.

    The worst part is that these guys are overall worse than last year. Sad part considering I didn't think it could be any worse than last years. Throw in the fact that the closer has been abysmal and Hawkins has been terrible too.

    409-401 is mediocre when you throw in one 4 game playoff appearance. If you can take out the 2008 season, this team has been consistently right below average. The CC trade is THE only reason why that is.

    While he did sell high on Sexson, I still don't think he got enough in the deal considering Sexson was an All Star first baseman at the time coming off a great season.

    He is? 23 = 25? Then should why should we consider Mark Rogers any more of a prospect at this point? Why is it when we trade our players they then become trash like Nelson Cruz?

    I thought Macha was horrible last year at managing the bullpen but throwing Coffey yesterday in an 8-0 ballgame just was another reason why he should not be coach. He burned him out last year and it showed to end the season. Absolutely zero sense to put him in the game yesterday.

    I am just curious as to why anyone thinks Melvin is a decent GM? He has not had a single trade we can honestly look back on that he's hit on to put the team over the top to be a winner. In fact, the Leinbrink trade is starting to possibly look like it was a bad one especially if Inman continues to pitch like he is. He sold Hardy at his lowest point even though he had more than an ample opportunity to have moved him the year before to get some legitimate pitching possibly from Boston. To get pitching, you have to give up something to get. And Hardy offered teams a shortstop with some pop and good defense. And this argument about Melvin taking us out of the depths of losing is nothing more than a myth. Ulice Payne taking over the team from Wendy was the start. Doug happened to be in the right place at the right time even though Dean Taylor started the improvement by stressing on player development which was lacking when back in the Bando era. It was too bad Yost took the fall in 2008. It actually reminded me of Mike Sherman canning Donnatel trying to cover up for the team's biggest problem. In fact, Melvin then completely pulled a Sherman and had a complete buddy hire in Macha.

    Yet, we lost to Garland while our 10 million dollar man gave up two homers in this "big" park including a tap measure job to a punch and judy hitter. 8-0 Macha's interview after the game was priceless especially commenting about the pitching. Hey Ken, your team just got shutout 3 times in 4 games.

    3 games of shutout ball only for two solo homers with 20 men left on in scoring position. How more demoralizing can that be?

    I am beginning to wonder how Mark A got his money. If the Brewers continue to lose, he's going to see losses at the gate because fans want a winner. The Bucks are a perfect example. You would think with him being around baseball his whole life, he would can Melvin/Macha and find a winning combo.

    Regardless, this team is going nowhere fast. If Mark A wants to be a winner he needs to dump M&M and salvage the rest of the season. Having the prospects to trade for CC is the only thing Melvin can hang his hat on here in Milwaukee.

    Considering he got the Astros to the series, I wouldn't call him horrible.

    I may be comparing basketball to baseball, but there are some people that coaches do not matter in either sport. But if you could compare Skiles to Macha, it is like comparing a Porsche to a Pinto. With Macha as the coach, I am dispirited.

    You know this how? People ask to give names and one is given. Yet, that's not good enough. Melvin did a terrible job and is a run of the mill GM hiring buddies to coach much like Mike Sherman.

    We could also throw in the fact that the Brewers have played the worst hitting team in the majors this year 4 times. I am too lazy to look up the numbers right now but our ERA would really be inflated without the Pirate games.
