  1. Soup is no more of a joke than any other 5-5.25 ERA pitcher. I would bet large cash that Suppan is not under 5.25 this year, just in case you are interested.
  2. That one wasn't legit. Soup pitched fine that inning.
  3. I'm a bit surprised it lasted until the third batter. At least he didn't walk anyone just before he served up the Soup special.
  4. Oh boy, here we go! Predictions?I'm going with a scoreless first, just to spite the haters (including me). But two baserunners with a walk.
  5. A Diego Double? A Dinger will be nice next time please.
  6. 83° F Feels Like: 81° F Wind: From WSW at 18mph gusting to 32mph
  7. Because he has to be fairly resigned to the fact that no matter how well he shows, or how poorly others show, he is pigeon-holed into that 8 spot for the foreseeable future.
  8. Yeah, its the easy on on the main color palette.Maybe this is the one Menotti used? (second over, third up in the pink block).vs. maybe this should be a pink in game thread!!!
  9. I would hope all Brewers fans would be ecstatic if that does occur.I would be very happy... today.
  10. Let me see... SuppanYep, this should definitely be a pink IGT.
  11. If I were Escobar, I would be a bit disgruntled. At least one Diego Dinger today please. I want to hear the Wrigley crowd go nuts.
  12. I think Suppan is gone if he blows up three consecutive times. Mark A. will cut bait if he is an embarrassment, which is pretty much a certainty to happen unless Suppan gets lucky.
  13. Granted it didn't work yesterday, but it will work 80% of the time. If you only win 80% of the games where you have a 3 run lead going into the 8th inning, you aren't going to have a very good record at the end of the year.
  14. Allow me to echo every post here. This team is already going in the wrong direction, and this move is like the pylon driver pounding it further down. But if Macha doesn't have the smarts to use a lefty specialist, why have one on the roster. Barring a key injury, I couldn't be more sour on this team so early in the season. Can't wait to see what Suppan brings to the table tomorrow.
  15. Are you planning to listen/watch/follow the game tomorrow? I have a feeling its going to get much, much worse.
  16. Macha has cost himself the slim amount of goodwill he had with me. He is now in the red as far as I'm concerned. Why even have a manager if they aren't going to do anything anyway? Pathetic.
  17. And it finishes the way it starts. Macha, you just used one of your strikes. Keep up the craptastic managing and you will suffer the same Yostian fate as your predecessor. What a joke.
  18. This is not a well managed team. Players have to be frustrated when they know what should be done but isn't. For as educated as Macha appears to be on paper, he doesn't seem to think ahead or be prepared for less obvious events throughout the game. He should have let Bush pitch another inning or possibly two. Instead, he lets Hawkins blow a THREE RUN LEAD! Its not like it happened in a flash. It took quite a long time to play out.
  19. 77 pitches through 6 innings, hasn't been hit hard besides a Soto HR, throwing a TON of strikes, and Suppan pitching tomorrow are all great reasons to leave him in.
  20. How many times has Dave Bush pitched very well, only to lose it after staying in one inning too long? It was the right move even if Gerut made an out. So will this always be the right move, or just for today?
  21. Bush at 85 pitches. Gameday had Bush at 77 pitches. Either way, I'm sure Macha thought it would be a good time to get his bullpen some work seeing how he likely won't need them tomorrow (blue text not necessary).
  22. Ya, 8 games through Kendall's Brewer career he was batting .546 with a 1.297 OPS. Gotta respect the honeymoon period.
