  1. YES! Great win for Obie and the Crew! I saw Victor Santos and Doug Davis laughing after the game and frequently see them joking around together in the dugout - are they good friends? Just wondering, glad to see a W! Tim
  2. Uh-oh...here comes Mike Lowell. Tim
  3. The unraveling begins now. 6-4 Crew still leads, tying run at the plate (Jeff Conine). Tim
  4. And will Adams blow this? God, I hope not. Tim
  5. My God, would Schroeder shut up already. He keeps saying how Gary Bennett will feel great after today's good game he's calling for Wes. Last time I checked, Wes has discretion over what he wants to throw and it's really up to Wes and if his pitches are on or off today. I can't stand how Schroeder keeps talking about Bennett and every other catcher like he's a real star. Bennett sucks and so does Schroeder's analysis of catchers. You guys were all right. Tim
  6. Wow, I'm impressed. I thought he would get bombed today. It's only one game, but Wes is throwing a 1 hitter! Tim
  7. I'll say build up his confidence and if he screws up, I'll admit that I was stupid in saying we should keep him in. Tim
  8. During this informative TV broadcast, we have found out that Bill Schroeder's favorite horror movie is The Exorcist. Bill Hall likes Friday the 13th and Ben Sheets doesn't like them. Funny stuff. Tim
  9. I can't believe he's actually putting in a solid performance so far. Let's keep it going Wes and prove the naysayers (me, me, me) wrong http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Tim
  10. Thank you Russell Branyan! Tim
  11. Anything on Doug Davis' condition, too? Nice to see Poddy back in the leadoff spot...now only if he could get on base! Tim
  12. I simply don't think Yost is a good manager. Period. While the Brewers aren't the most talented bunch by any stretch, he isn't maximizing the talent he does have. A good deal of his in-game moves are puzzling at best, and the handling of the current roster is ridiculous with regards to playing time. Yost may be a hell of a motivator, and that's great...motivating pro athletes isn't an easy job. However, just because he is a good motivator doesn't mean that he is a good manager and that he should get a 'pass' for obvious blunders he makes in a game. Yes, and I couldn't agree more with this. The reasoning behind Ned's choices in lineups and random structure of them all seems so strange to me. I happen to think he is a great motivator but like you said, if you're not a good manager it doesn't mean a thing. You can have the most motivated guys on the world on your team but if motivation doesn't translate into results than it doesn't matter at all. Tim
  13. Man, nobody is pitching that great lately, and to boot, the run support is horrible. I'd say the best starting pitchers after break are: 1. Capuano 2. Davis 3. Sheets 4. Santos 5. I can't even put Obermueller here... Tim
  14. It was fun while it lasted...I wish Sheets good luck getting another run for his cause http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Tim
  15. That's not good at all. Seems like he's really being hard on himself for his slump offensively and letting it affect his play all around. Hopefully he snaps out of it soon! Tim
  16. After his boneheaded play to end the game last night, he deserves a day off. What happened on that play? I turned the game off after the 8th and have been hearing about it a lot on the forums. Tim
  17. Grieve: sore calf muscle. Haven't seen him in the dugout even. Do you have any info on him or a link about this? Tim
  18. At this point, might as well play McGruder. He could be here next year where Grieve will be gone. That would be the funniest joke...ever. Tim
  19. Where's Grieve? Give me a ****in break. Tim
  20. Pods is just emulating the manager. Well said! This team is pretty sad if you ask me...but the people who are running it are even worse. Tim
  21. I can't wait to see: Wes Helms - Designated for Assignment. Hopefully that happens when Branyan is healthy. Tim
